Ayala Bar’s Bijoux Summer: Bright Colors and Echoes of a deep East ♦ ︎
The Israeli designer Ayala Bar tells about her grandmother who emigrated from Afghanistan to Israel in the 1920s. With an adventurous journey of 2000 miles (over 3,000 kilometers) has brought a child to her, who would later become Ayala’s father. All this to explain how, while visiting a jewelery museum from Afghanistan, she discovered contact points between the Asian country tradition and the style adopted by her.
Perhaps it is a sign of destiny, or perhaps the great necklaces made of cloth, beads, silver, stones, bone, are in the Ayala Bar’s Dna, which reveals a portion of its eastern blood. Who knows. In any case, the summer collection of her bijoux company confirm fantasy and, above all, the wealth of elements that intertwine to make earrings and necklaces, the two accessories that make up almost exclusively Ayala Bar’s production. Prices include Always between 100 and 200 euros. Margherita Donato
