The Milanese brand Antonini is reintroducing an updated version of the jewelry collection that first debuted in 1990.
Sidi Bou Said is a town in northern Tunisia renowned for the prominent use of blue and white in its architecture. It retains a reputation as an artists’ town, having been home to Europeans such as Paul Klee, Gustave-Henri Jossot, August Macke, Saro Lo Turco, and Louis Moillet, as well as Tunisian artists belonging to the *École de Tunis* (Tunis School of Painting), including Yahia Turki, Brahim Dhahak, and Ammar Farhat. Designer Sergio Antonini was also a regular fixture in this community for a couple of years. The town served as the inspiration for the original 1990 Sidi Bou Said collection.

Now, Antonini Milano is presenting a re-edition of the jewelry line, drawing necklace and earring designs from the company archives and expanding the range with a new ring. The pieces feature simple, slender lines—reminiscent of the Mediterranean light found in the Tunisian town—and oval shapes that echo its famous doorways. Lightweight and versatile, the collection appeals to contemporary tastes for jewelry that feels almost ethereal: a ring that is essentially a piece of design, a necklace featuring interlocking ovals, and drop earrings that mirror elements of the necklace’s design.
