Bracciale Leitmoticon

Emoticon jewels from Stroili

Leitmotiv, the designer duo composed of Juan Caro and Fabio Sasso, has created a capsule collection for Stroili. It is called the Leitmoticon Collection, and was presented in a secret event in the store on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, in Milan. Necklaces, bracelets and earrings are made of bronze, brass and coloured enamel. The style is inspired by emoticons, that is, those icons that are used in web messages or chats to summarise a mood or a concept: for example, a smiley or angry face, a heart, a hand with the thumb up and so on. Emoticons are often used in place of words. Now they are arriving in the store and combine the pleasure of wearing a jewel with that of expressing a mood with images. But those in the Leitmoticon collection are not the usual icons. These are reinterpreted by the designers: like the wink symbol, which inspires optimism, or the moose that refers to nature, or musical notes. They are flashy, colourful, cheerful.
