The jewel is located in Tarì

Gold and precious stones move to the South, to the contemporary jewelery exhibition of the Tarì in Marcianise (Caserta). During the three days of the fair (Mondo Prezioso, 10-13 May), international operators will be added to the over 400 stable companies, with the aim of developing relations with foreign countries, already accounting for 30% of the turnover. This year foreign buyers will arrive from Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Georgia. “We have a market of around 300 million nouveau riche in Asian countries, which until recently we considered risky or unimportant,” explains Ines Aronadio, from Ice’s consumer goods area. «On the contrary, they are countries that love Made in Italy, but only under specific conditions». Italian jewelery is appreciated abroad if it is of traditional craftsmanship, if the company exploits new communication channels and knows how to interpret and meet demand. This year the Tarì salon will try to merge craftsmanship and art, through an exhibition that also launches new artists. «Art can also be considered a jewel and we have decided on a competition for underground artists who will present their works created with the recycling and mixing of materials», explains the president of Tarì Gianni Carità.
