The Capri-based Maison Chantecler introduces new pieces to its *Tu Sei un’Isola* (“You Are an Island”) collection. ♦
Chantecler launched the *Tu Sei un’Isola* collection this spring. The concept is twofold: the Maison was born on Capri—an island off the coast of Naples—and the collection features a collaboration with Roberto di Alicudi, the artistic name of Neapolitan painter Roberto Longo (interestingly, “Alicudi” is also the name of an island). Furthermore, the collection’s name invites introspection, suggesting that each person is an island unto themselves. The collection takes its name from a painting by Roberto di Alicudi and draws inspiration from the *joie de vivre* that animates Capri. This partnership has now given rise to new jewelry pieces; one such addition features a design by Alicudi depicting *corna*—traditional Italian charms used to ward off bad luck—incorporated into a red-themed parure.

These *corna* are crafted from vermeil (gold-plated silver) and set onto an oval-shaped piece of composite carnelian, accented by a band of brilliant-cut diamonds. Small, hand-painted stars finished in gold leaf radiate outward from the *corna*. The prickly pear cactus is an integral part of the flora and landscape of Capri; the sculptural surfaces of the bracelet, earrings, and ring in this collection are inspired by this plant, featuring hand-engraved details that replicate its unique texture.

The *Tu Sei un’Isola* collection is further divided into several distinct lines, with *Astera* serving as one of its primary collections (or parures). The other line is called “Et voilà,” and it stands out for its use of silver (rather than gold)—though the metal is crafted with a *haute couture* approach, ensuring the jewelry carries the same artistic significance despite being made from a more accessible, entry-level material.

The “Astera” collection combines the transparency of diamonds with platinum and titanium, featuring rings, necklaces, and earrings set with baguette, brilliant, and carré-cut diamonds, alongside hand-carved rock crystal. The *Campanelle*—Chantecler’s iconic bell-shaped pendants—are now available with pavé-set topazes and amethysts, with a new version featuring citrines also added to the range.
