New Italian Art: Between Future and Tradition

Jewelry by New Italian Art, a Valenza-based brand with a long history.

New Italian Art is a jewelry brand with a long history. Based in Valenza, the company traces its origins to 1943, when Carlo Lombardi decided to launch his own goldsmithing business in the midst of World War II. The company operated on the Italian market until 1969 with the assistance of the founder’s son, Piero Lombardi. That original company—initially focused on the local market—evolved into New Italian Art in 1969, adopting a broader market outlook that extended beyond Italy’s borders.

Three families of jewelers—the Lombardis, Mantellis, and Cevas, who are linked by kinship—remain at the heart of New Italian Art. In 2006, the company launched its own branded jewelry line, reviving a historic name in the Valenza jewelry sector. Today, the group also manages the Lombardi 1943 and MMantelli brands.
True to the traditions of the Valenza district, New Italian Art jewelry is crafted with meticulous attention to detail and features an abundance of precious stones.
In addition, the brand offers eyewear embellished with gold and precious stones, as well as small clocks and decorative objects—all of which can be customized to the client’s preference.
