It starts with about twenty pieces: Natsuko Toyofuku, a Japanese artist (it is too reductive to call her a designer) based in Milan, in the Isola neighborhood, in via della Pergola, is launching into e-commerce. A selection of her production can now also be purchased online at www.natsukotoyofuku.com, a completely revamped site. This is no small novelty, because Natsuko’s production is artisanal and, therefore, in a limited number of pieces. The event, celebrated in the designer’s atelier, also served to announce a promotion: until Christmas, for every order placed you will receive a NATSUkketta, a small bronze jewel inspired by the pumpkin, a typical vegetable of this period and its history. Naturally in perfect Natsuko style. Among the jewels that can be purchased online are also the latest creations: the Filitondi pendants in hand-hammered brass or silver (price: 220 euros). Natsuko Toyofuku, Natsu for her friends, is Italian by adoption: she arrived as a child from the land of the Rising Sun with her father, Tomomori Toyofuku, one of the great sculptors of the Sixties and Seventies. From this family school, the sculptural style of her jewels derives, they are made for casting in laboratories in Brianza, while assembly and finishing are carried out in Milan.
