The celebrity was tied up by two thieves disguised as police officers at her hotel. The thieves were subsequently identified and arrested. Among the stolen items was the engagement ring—valued at $4 million—given to her by rapper Kanye West.
The thieves—a gang of older individuals (eight people, six of whom were aged between 60 and 70)—were identified and brought to court, though some of the stolen jewelry was never recovered. Now, years later, the compensation for what she herself calls “the most terrifying experience of my life” amounts to $1.15—a sum requested by Kardashian, who clarified that the decision to accept such a small amount was “not about compensation, but about accountability and acknowledgment.” Then again, she could hardly have expected to get much more from such inept robbers.
