It will be a highlight of the whole season of jewelry auctions: a large pink pear-cut diamond will be sold in Geneva on May 17 at Sotheby’s. It’s so rare that it was called The Unique Pink. The stone combines an extremely rare and sought after color, Fancy Vivid Pink, with a considerable size: it weighs 15.38 carats. The stone is extraordinarily clear and pure. It is the largest pink diamond Fancy Vivid Pink pear shaped ever offered at auction. The estimation of its value portends a caliente challenge among collectors of rare stones: the value is between 28 and 38 million dollars. Will be the star of the Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels in which, however, it will not be the only valuable piece. In the sale, of which we anticipate the first images, there will also be other super stones, as well as jewelry with very value as a spectacular collection of the first creations of the twentieth century by Cartier, as well as pieces coming from private collections.
