Bolaffi sold in Milan ︎ for over 1 million euros ♦
Result encouraging auction Bolaffi of jewelry, held in Milan. The total realization was over 1 million euros, with over 70% of the lots sold. Star of the day, as expected, was the bracelet in diamonds and rubies signed Black, Starr & Frost. It was purchased by a foreign customer in the hall for 81,200 euros, almost three times the auction base and beyond the experts’ expectations. The bracelet belongs to the best production of the US jeweler who reached its peak in the Déco period, of which it is a magnificent example.
The other best results were those of diamond jewelery, such as the 1930 ring with 7.62 carat round diamond (lot 132, 41.200 euro) and the ring with two Old Europe cut diamonds of 3.56 and 3 respectively , 20 carats (lot 508, 40 thousand euros). Finally, the rare ring of the late 19th century with a round Colombian emerald of 3.30 carats (lot 435, 16.250 euros) and the important rectangular Cartier brooch in diamonds of about 8 carats total with the original box (lot 510, 18.750 euros).
