If you happen to be passing through Alto Adige, or Südtirol, perhaps for a ski trip, know that until December 19th in Bolzano there is 8x faszination, a roundup of contemporary jewelry in the mountains of the Alps. The works of eight goldsmith artists and jewelry designers are on display (Gian Luca Bartellone, Kiki Fritz, Franziska Kuen, Barbara Lischka Forcher, Enrica Prazzoli, Nicole Nitz & Sandro Schieck, Sarah Valier, Gabi Veit) selected by Kuno Prey. The jewelry is also made using unusual materials, such as aluminum, plastic materials, metal mesh, in addition of course to the more common precious metals such as silver and gold. The 8x faszination exhibition will also feature the results of the workshop on contemporary jewelry that Gabi Veit led at the Faculty of Design and Arts, involving students and alumni of the Faculty.
