A new president for Tiffany

Tiffany has a new president. The board of directors of the American fashion house has in fact appointed Frederic Cumenal at the top. The manager also joins the group’s board of directors. Cumenal arrives from LVMH, but it didn’t take him long to climb the ranks. «Since he joined Tiffany in March 2011, from the LVMH group where he was president and CEO of Moet & Chandon, Frederic Cumenal has made an important contribution to both the operational and strategic development of our business. He has also brought a global perspective to our brand and, in particular, has led the evolution of regional organizations to support our continued expansion around the world,” is the official comment of Michael J. Kowalski, president and CEO Tiffany delegate. Cumenal, 54, will retain his regional responsibilities and will also be responsible for Design, Merchandising and Marketing. He will continue to report directly to Kowalski. But the nomination is undoubtedly a strong signal. Kowalski is 61 years old. He is certainly not old, but he has been in office as president since 1996: 17 years, a cosmic time for business.
