Atelier Swarovski by Assoulin

It’s name is Jewel-y McHue-y and is a collection of Atelier Swarovski that combines crystal and fashion with the same aesthetic spirit of its designer, Rosie Assoulin, the New Yorker designer known for modern lines with retro influences. She possesses an encyclopedic understanding of fashion, with a past experience at Oscar de la Renta and later at Lanvin, and for the debut in 2016 Swarovski Collective she chose classic setting, those typical of Georgian era. In England in the ‘700, under the reign of George IV, diamonds and colored stones were set a jour, in open-backed settings that allowed light to illuminate the stones, the earrings were dangling, while gemstones necklaces upswept hairstyles and graduated diamond riviere chockers were set on silk ribbons. In the Assoulin’s 12 pieces there is all of this mixed with modern and colorful materials, bold Swarovski crystals, in the most unusual hues, such as blue denim, orange sapphire Padparascha, the dark green moss. The new zircons by Swarovski

Knowing today what offers Swarovski means knowing what we will see tomorrow on a long line of jewelry. At Baselworld, the Austrian company presented the new assortment of Swarovski Zirconia. Trends of 2016

Every year the Swarovski experts get to work to understand (and get) the trends of jewelry and style that will dominate the next season. The result is Gem Visions. The report aims to provide insight into the design trends in the world that are expected to affect the jewelry industry and, consequently, consumers. According to the report, in 2016 the topics will be the evolution of 2015: aesthetics of modernist design and future-oriented, open to fresh ideas and technological advances, but that does not deny the traditions of the past. In short, classic design but combined with innovation and technology. We see, then, what are the trends for 2016.
Magic. It is seen as a magical ability to jewelers, goldsmiths and those who cut the stones to become magicians like that through the many facets, cuts and shapes of stones and jewelry they create an illusion. The color palette alternates between light and shadow. Night with a deep blues and burgundy shades in blue, lilac and white. Blue sapphires, marcasite and cubic zirconia are combined with reflective materials, mirror surfaces and the exterior as iridescent mother of pearl and opal. It is the inspiration for designers and artists to work with techniques that blur the boundaries between the physical and digital.

It includes stones with defined edges, corners, and stones like black spinel, smoky quartz and zircon in warm tones. The jewelry will be made with plastics, elements in series, precious stones, including synthetic, coatings and plating metal intriguing. The color palette is masculine: industrial gray, khaki, with some vibrant orange and pink.

Swarovski’s Diamonds
