Daphne is a character from Greek mythology. It was one of the Naiads, that is a nymph associated mainly with natural fresh water, such as lakes, springs and rivers. Not only that: Daphne was a nymph capable of making the god Apollo fall in love. In short, Daphne was a lover of clean, fresh, natural water. And irresistible (thanks to the arrow shot by Eros).

How does the nymph Daphne connect to the Salvini collection that has this name? The combination is doubtful. But even in the jewels of the Daphne collection there seem to be crystalline forms, reminiscent of the freshness of the water.

The jewels, in perfect Salvini style, are in white gold and diamonds, with a luminosity accentuated by three-dimensional volumes.

Rings, earrings, colliers have a simple design: the brilliance is obtained with a central diamond surrounded by a crown of other small diamonds. From Kandinsky to Ettore Sottsass. Lora Nikolova is not by chance behind her studies at the Accademia di Brera, a stage of training for the Milanese artists. And is not the Lombard city the capital of design? So it makes sense that the autumn winter collection of Lora Nikolova is dedicated to a cultural phenomenon of the eighties, Memphis, a movement of design created by Ettore Sottsass. New geometries, color combinations, a revised feature: Memphis marked an era and modified an aesthetic sense that was too conformist.

Circles, squares and triangles, basic elements of the geometry used by Memphis are now the basis of the autumn winter collection of the jewelry designer.

The jewels are made of glass, wood and plastic, metals, resins and semi-precious stones. Some patterns on wooden geometric components are hand painted, while black unites and contrasts shapes. The network of threads that make up the creations sometimes does not direct the composition, but assumes the fundamental role of a graphic element and serves as a base for the components often assembled in sequence.

The earrings are different from each other and are reconfirmed as an original and sophisticated accessory to complete the look.

The collection is enriched with new protagonists such as bracelets and brooches inspired by the colored asymmetries of the colliers in the collection.

Red and black is the title of a novel that the French writer Stendhal wrote in the first half of the nineteenth century. But it is also the new contrast that is added to the Dancing in the Rain Reverse collection by Nanis. The peculiarity of the collection and of the new pieces, presented at VicenzaOro September, as the name suggests, is the possibility of using jewels, pendant for necklace, earrings or ring in two different ways.

The rotation of the surface shows the hidden back face, which takes the place of the first one.

Obviously the two surfaces of the jewel are different: the pieces that are added now show, for example, on one side a ruby surrounded by small brilliant cut diamonds. Turning the jewel on the two pins that fix it, for example to the band of the ring, one discovers the other face, made with a pavé of diamonds that fade from white to black. The combination is also used for the conclusion of the bracelets, but in this case red and black face each other.
At VicenzaOro Nanis also showed the new exhibition concept. The corners will be characterized by the extreme elasticity of the system and the immediate recognition of the brand. The basic display elements will be of two types: vertically developing display cabinets and lower counters, both with removable, transparent drawers surmounted by an important glass case with independent LED lighting. A large texture composed of quadrangular elements takes up the design of the exhibition floors, flips it over the walls and acts as a backdrop to the exhibition. The central element that draws the background wall bears the Nanis logo – Italian Contemporary Luxury Factory.

Among the novelties are the bracelets and necklaces of the India collection, which add two full gold leaves, symbol of the collection itself. Moonstone spheres in shades of orange, white and brown, interspersed with pink gold spheres design the Camel mood.
