It is not the first time that an artist has applied himself to jewellery. Now added to the list is Paola Romano, who created a collection of moons to wear as necklaces, rings and earrings for the Roman gallery owner Marzia Spatafora. They are unique jewels, composed of the most diverse materials: lapis lazuli, amethyst, jade, tourmaline, agate, malachite, red jasper, rose and hyaline quartz, azurite, turquoise, aventurine and pyrite. Stones that are joined by the artist’s hand with salt and silver crystals to transform into precious jewels. Paola Romano has always been inspired by the moon for her works of art. Not everyone knows that the director Pupi Avati commissioned four works from her for the film «The dinner to make them known». Many works by Paola Romano are hosted in the Sala Urbaniane of the Vatican City and at the Magna Carta Foundation.
