The workshop of Dukachi—a third-generation jewelry brand—has been destroyed by missiles in Kyiv.
Russian forces are destroying Ukrainian jewelry businesses as well. Anna Knyzhenko, co-founder of Dukachi, shared the news on Facebook. “Today, our jewelry workshop was completely destroyed by a Russian missile. Our staff is safe. We will rebuild everything else,” announced Knyzhenko, who has no intention of giving up. The workshop—one of many civilian casualties and certainly not a military target—was struck by Russian forces during an attack on the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, involving ballistic missiles and drones on the night of September 24.
In addition to the destruction of the jewelry workshop, a 57-year-old woman in the Podilskyi district and a 65-year-old man in the Solomianskyi district were killed during the attack. Eight other people, aged between 25 and 77, were injured.
