Eleonora’s green visions

The goldsmith designer Eleonora Battaggia with the Caracol brand won in two categories of the national Bijoux d’Autore 2012 competition and second in the 2011 edition. Now the Bijou Museum of Casalmaggiore (Cremona) dedicates her first solo exhibition, Visioni in Margine . Eleonora Battaggia’s creations are inspired by and promote nature and the planet’s resources. «I think it is necessary and joyful to use what is already there, instead of continually exploiting resources that we have the responsibility to respect and preserve. For this reason, in my continuous search for new material to express myself, I mainly turn to recovery and recycling, developing my expressive way, experimenting to tell and also denounce what appears essential to me”, she explains. So, for the sake of consistency, no precious materials because extraction can be harmful to the ecosystem. Le Visioni in Margine wants to tell the designer’s experience and show the result of her aesthetic and ethical choices.
