The Museo del Bijou in Casalmaggiore (Cremona) is dedicating an exhibition to Claudio Calestani, a Milanese silver specialist. Calestani offers jewellery inspired by the legends of the Seventies: from motorbikes to rock, to martial arts. Bracelets, cufflinks, rings, necklaces, buckles with an Easy Rider look. The objects designed by Calestani are now brought together in the exhibition entitled Argento… uno stile di vita, curated by Bruno and Franca Bambara from Milan and Cristina Calestani. Calestani has a link with Casalmaggiore: his grandfather, Lucedio, was one of the founders of the Società Federale Orefici, while his father Giugurta left the town to conquer Milan. It was in the Lombard capital that his son Claudio opened and started his jewellery business. The exhibition also includes an installation by LabO (the brand of Claudio Calestani, cousin, artist and namesake). The exhibition was organized in collaboration with the MotoClub Angelo Bergamonti of Gussola.
