Bonomea, reality turned upside down

Seemingly usual, but unusual in its development: the Bonomea FW 2015 collection is the result of an out-of-the-box look, a different approach to reality. The one desired by the founders of the brand, Linda Chang and designer Andrea Ciccolo, who chose the concept of an upset eye as their theme, literally an upside-down eye, to suggest a style with unexpected details, subtle asymmetries, and unusual angles. Both for the almost architectural structure of the leather goods and for the sculptural lines of the jewels: the designs are somehow linked to those of the bags. And, in fact, the large rigid Mantide bracelet has leather inserts and the metal is overlapped as many times as necessary to form folds like those that hide the handles of the bag of the same name, while in the ring and pendant they are one with the setting. And then there is Fiocco, asymmetrical and thick like leather, Cuorami, like the two parts of a heart, very stylized, which in the ring and bracelet shows a sudden cut, but then continues in the bottom. In short, they are conceptual jewels, made by Vicenza goldsmith companies in polished, brushed, gilded bronze or steel.
