Jewelry created with 3D printers is arriving in department stores. The idea is from Hema, a Dutch chain of stores that offers a range of low-priced items in Europe, from fashion to furniture. Hema has over 600 stores in the EU, 27 of which are in France alone. In a few weeks, it will offer the customization of 3D printed jewelry through its website: it is the first large-scale distribution company to offer this type of service. The proposal is the result of an agreement between Hema and Zazzy (http://zazzy.me), a company that offers the creation of personalized jewelry online. The jewelry has very low prices, from 9.95 euros for plastic bracelets, up to 60 euros for gold-plated brass ones. The level of customization includes the addition of a word, or a simple logo (such as a heart or a star), but also the choice of the color of the bracelet or the material.
