A monster is coming to Baselworld. Its appearance is not known but, according to Bayco Jewels, a New York company founded in 1982 by Amir Hadjibay, the news will be shocking: on the opening day of the Basel exhibition event, one of the most precious gems that has ever existed will be revealed. The event will take place in the Bayco cabin, at noon sharp. According to Moris Hadjibay, co-owner of the company, the gem monster “will be unlike anything anyone has ever seen before. It will be a great privilege to be the only ones to unveil this gift from the earth of such magnitude to the world. It is truly a masterpiece of mother nature.” Although there are no images of the alien, it is known that the gem has already received a certificate from one of the most highly regarded gemological institutes, the Gem Gübelin Lab, in Lucerne, according to which it is an exceptional stone.
