Ok, diamonds and 18 carats are precious. But what is more valuable than your own data? So there is no need to be shocked if someone has thought of a necklace with a pendant that is a USB stick. It may not be elegant, but it could prove very useful in the office. And then, aren’t there people who hang keys and locks around their neck? The “iCollana” is proposed by Wang Jo-yun of Taiwanese Polytron Technologies. The proposed USB memory is semi-transparent, and can be used as a pendant, but also earring or clip. Polytron also plans to launch totally transparent cellphones and memory cards before the end of the year. Who knows if those too will end up being used as jewellery.
