Often fashion and jewelry go in team up to provide not only accessories to wear, but also to do good deeds. This is the case of the British brand Pippa Small, who has made a mission of charity initiatives. For example, with the new collection in collaboration with the Afghan NGO Turquoise Mountain. The story: during the Taliban regime (1996-2011) the jewelry design and accessories has been banned in Afghanistan. After the talibans went away (in part), the NGO, under the patronage of Prince Charles, wanted to revive the traditional art of the country and provide opportunities for young people in the country, as well create new jobs. Pippa Small since 2008 has been involved with the NGO. The result is a collection of jewelry in which the lapis, the traditional stone Afghanistan (country where, however, also include fine emeralds) is the characteristic of the collection.
