VicenzaOro, the jewelry fair organized in Vicenza, has done business. According to the organizers, the Vicenza autumn event recorded a good trend for producers, who encountered good demand from buyers. In particular, the demand came from abroad: Euro Zone, Central-Eastern Europe, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Asia with particular reference to China and North America. In short, encouraging, especially for those who focus less on the Italian market. For the first time, after two negative years, the second quarter of 2013 recorded a positive result for Italian jewelery exports (Istat data) which grew compared to the same period of the previous year both in value (+6%) and in quantity (+2.6%). Specifically, towards the United States (+12% in value) and towards the United Arab Emirates (+32% in value). We will see if this trend will also be confirmed in the final months of the year. There is a climate of moderate confidence among professionals.
