Because the dance of the inexhaustible designer Laura Bicego continues with new jewelry with double charm and double aspect: rings, pendants and earrings are made so you can show two surfaces. To change the look of the jewel is enough light pressure to rotate the core and show a different composition. For example, a side with a pavé composed of a mix of aquamarine and green sapphires, while on the other there is a single stone surrounded by a gold frame. The contrast between stone and pavé is also repeated with other gems, such as tsavorite, sapphires, amethyst, rock crystal or labradorite, always with the reverse mechanism. In some cases as in the bracelets, however, the contrast is obtained simply by the facing of the two solutions, pavé and a single stone, on the two sides of the gold stem of the bracelet, also in different colors. Hold on tight: Salvini changes. Or, better, it does not change its style, but introduces a new line that has the ambition to last over time. To propose, in short, one of those jewels that in five or ten years will still have a fragrance of novelty. And it’s the Sunny line which renews the classic image of the Italian brand, very tied to white gold and diamonds, to the shape of the solitaire or the light point.
So here is Sunny. As the name indicates, the idea is that of brightness, but in a warm key, thanks to the gold in the three colors yellow, white or pink, the colors of the sun in the three phases of the day. The collection is played around the shape of the band, which comes in ring, earrings or pendant adjustable with up and down mechanism, but surrounded by a soft, wavy shape that surrounds the two sides of the jewel. And there is not only gold, but in some versions of the collection, there are diamonds in full pavé. In addition, a light should be lit on a particular of this collection: shot peening at the center of the gold band. The good designer of Salvini has thought of this innovative solution, which is not a sanding or even a satin finish. The processing consists, instead, in hammering a shiny part of gold with micro-spheres. In this way you get something that looks like satin finish, but has a more sparkling appearance. It is a particularity that must be emphasized. Prices: a gold ring starts at 950 euros, to go up to 2900 euros for the one with full pavé diamonds.

The choice is the result of the marriage born in the 1970s between Michaela Frey, who wanted to focus on the creative part, and Friedrich Wille, who managed the company and internationalized the brand. After the death of Michaela Frey in 1980, Wille became the owner of the company and asked another artist, Simone Grünberger (then Grünberger-Wille) to create a new line of jewelery. Another of these habits is that of Van Cleef & Arpels, who regularly presents pieces of the Alhambra collection. In particular, this new limited edition of the Vintage Alhambra pendant. As probably known by gioiellis.com readers, Alhambra is a successful collection of the Parisian Maison, which has been several times renewed since 1968 when was launched the first sautoir. With its gold-beaded jewelery, the collection has established itself as a refined jewel, but at the same time it can be combined easily on different occasions of the day. Here is the limited edition of the Vintage Alhambra pendant, also thought to be a lucky charm, a role that has been playing since the Twentieth Century. The novelty is that the Vintage Alhambra pendant uses for the first time the bull’s eye stone (also called ox eye), that is a variety of quartz rather rare, with a color similar to aged chestnut wood, dark red and brown, with lighter veins. At the center is a round cut diamond. Can carry more luck?

Van Cleef’s lotus jewels have a finely perforated pattern and appropriate proportions. The last pieces added to the pre-existing collection are a bracelet, earrings and a white gold pendant. The petals are distributed on two levels with a relief and movement effect. On the occasion of Souffle de Diamants, the Maison also reveals a reinterpretation of the emblematic Bague Entre les Doigts Lotus, a ring with a smooth body and accentuated tunnel motifs to optimize the circulation of light.
Brilliant frivolity
Equally bright the pieces that make up the Frivole collection, consisting of ring, necklace, earrings and pendant. They are always flowers, but with different petals than Lotus, but with the same impression of lightness.
