A new plant with a capacity of approximately 60 million pieces will be built in Vietnam, while an additional additional capacity of approximately 20 million pieces will be added to the existing plants in Thailand. It seems that the anti-covid vaccine works great for Pandora too. Judging by the second quarter accounts, the Danish jewelry group is doing excellent business despite some of its stores still suffering from known health safety issues. To be precise, in the second quarter of 2021 Pandora achieved organic growth of 13% compared to 2019 (+ 84% compared to the corresponding period 2020). On average, in the second quarter of the year 15% of physical stores were temporarily closed and in August 2021 about 8% are temporarily closed.

The new Pandora Signature




After many years of silver bracelets with charms, Pandora renews the style with the new Signature collection, a name already used in the past, but for completely different jewels. Pandora for the summer translates to the word sea. Four new charms Disney for Pandora

The Disney license agreement expands the family of characters transformed into Pandora charms. These are four new charms to add to bracelets and necklaces. The first depicts the Lilo and Stitch family, taken from the 2002 animated film. The pendant is hand finished and made of silver. Lilo’s dress is painted with red enamel applied by hand and completed with leaf-shaped details in relief, while Stitch’s ear is painted with purple enamel. On the back is the engraving Family means no one gets left behind.

Carbon neutral certification
Pandora Brilliance is a CarbonNeutral certified product under the global framework for carbon neutrality. The certification covers Pandora Brilliance jewelry, their packaging and transport. The diamonds created in the laboratory and used in the collection have been grown with more than 60% renewable energy, while the greenhouse gas emissions from non-renewable energy are offset through the CarbonNeutral certification. Next year, when Pandora launches the collection globally, the diamonds will be made using 100% renewable energy.
Pandora Brilliance is available for purchase starting May 6 in the UK only. Prices start at 250 pounds (about 290 euros) and the variety of stones ranges from 0.15 to one carat.

Today, to tell the truth, 71% of gold and silver from Pandora jewelry already comes from recycled sources. But a complete use of unextracted gold and silver will reduce carbon dioxide emissions, water consumption and reduce other environmental impacts, since the recycling of precious metals uses less resources than the extraction of new metals. The carbon dioxide emissions generated by the supply of recycled silver are one third of those generated by the extracted silver, while the recycling of gold is equivalent to a quantity of carbon dioxide emissions 600 times less than that derived from the extraction of gold , according to life cycle assessments.

Silver is the most used material in Pandora jewelry and, based on weight, it represents more than half of the materials purchased. Pandora’s collaboration with Disney continues. After the first charms with Mickey Mouse, Minnie and the characters of several Disney cartoons, eight other charms arrive which, in this case, represent the first direct collaboration between the Danish brand and the toy designers of the Californian giant. The two companies designed the stylized subjects together, selecting some of the most iconic Disney characters, which now become elements for modular jewelry.

The characteristics and traits of the characters have been reproduced in the design of each of the charms. These are Minu of the Aristocats, Nemo, Mickey and Minnie, Pluto, Stitch and Alice’s Cheshire Cat still return to Wonderland.
