The earrings, in fact, are accompanied by another 13 pieces, all in gold and diamonds, which make up the collection. Jorge, one of the most innovative and esteemed designers of the new generation of jewelers, has been able to interpret the gold and diamond binomial by transforming jewels into a cloud of brilliant stones. In this way he managed to obtain a great volume, but also lightness: a goal that is not always achieved in jewelery. The price of Brilliant earrings is about $ 54,000. This did not deter Fernando Jorge’s fans, who bought all the jewelry of collection sold by Harrods London, Barney in New York and Bonmarché in Paris. Lavinia Andorno

Misani Toyama Bay

The new collection of Misani inspired by Toyama Bay: gold, leather and diamonds ♦ ︎
Misani, a company born in Milan half a century ago, is known for bringing back the technique of hammered gold, ancient and often forgotten by the goldsmith’s world. But not only: Another work that has ancient origins is the one that combines gold with leather, and is perhaps the first to be used in the history of humanity. The Milanese brand has cultivated these two traditions over time, but does not stop repeating them in new forms, with different collections. This is the case, for example, of the Toyama Bay collection. The name, curiously, is one of the largest bays in Japan, known for the mirages’ phenomenon on the horizon during the winter months, as well as being one of the reproduction sites for a variety of calamari. Probably, however, Misani considered only the first aspect. The collection includes a classic handmade yellow gold ring with diamond pavé, but also leather bracelets with black handmade gold and black diamond pavé elements, in some cases with the addition of semi-precious stones such as quartz citrine. The future of Crieri

The Future Collection of Crieri: tennis bracelets, rings and gold earrings in four colors ♦ ︎
Presented time ago with great emphasis, the Futura collection of Crieri seems to be still topical for the foreseeable future. It’s not a game of words: the company of Valenza points to the concept of luxury jewelery, but sporty. Innovative jewels, but at the same time not linked to passage modes. Quality jewels, but with affordable all-round prices. But the most obvious aspect is the stylistic choice of the company, born in 2005 at the initiative of Alessandro Saracino and Cristiano Annaratone, namely the idea of pointing everything as tennis bracelet. And after the bracelet, earrings, necklaces or rings made with the same criterion. The tennis bracelet (see also: Tennis Bracelets, story of a game) is, in short, the archetype around which collections are made, like Futura. In particular, in this line of jewels, gold has proposed in four colors: in addition to yellow, white and pink also black or black, or better, burnished. And even classic diamonds can be black on some occasions. The stones are also lined up to climb and can cross the golden band from side to side as in a spiral. Giulia Netrese

Carla Amorim’s Luz

Brazil’s light proposed through the jewelry of Luz collection by Carla Amorim ♦ ︎
Brazil is an immense country with great spaces. And with breathtaking views. But it is also a country that has an intense light that is reflected on the Amazon’s woods, Sertao plains, as well as among the skyscrapers of St. Paul. And in Brazil’s light, Brazilian designer Carla Amorim devotes a collection of jewels. It’s called Luz the collection with earrings, bracelets, necklaces that does not differ from the historical style of the brand. The jewels are gold, so gold, in four different colors: in addition to the classic yellow, white and pink, it adds a dark tint. Black gold has a obscure feature that recalls light, but that of the evening. In addition to the noble metal, the real protagonist of the Luz collection, Carla Amorim has used diamonds and, in a few pieces, emeralds, pearls and tanzanites. Throughout the collection is made up of 14 different jewels, presented in the different colors of gold. Giulia Netrese

The bravery of Maria De Toni

The bravery by Maria De Toni with jewels for women and men ♦ ︎
What is more noble than courage? And what is more brave in wanting peace? Maria De Toni, founder and soul of Vicenza’s Maison bearing his name, is not new in combining ideals and jewelery. In short, ornaments yes, but with a further meaning, not limited to aesthetic appearance. In this direction goes the Black Panther collection, light in the night by Maria De Toni, in gold 18k and precious stones. Within the creativity of the Maison there are many things. The jewelery’s explanation is that the collection “interprets the values of the guardian of the night in the symbol of the black panther, which surpasses every fear with female seduction and the light emanating from his eyes. The slogan is rendering the night bright thanks to the seduction and the light of courage.” There is, besides, the courage of men. The jewel of Brave Man for Peace by Auritalia in 750 gold is a hymn to Peace. Brave Man for Peace also has its roots in the past, with the symbols and ethical values of the 1814 Carabiners Royal Corps. Auritalia is the company of Sandrigo who heads to Maria De Toni and has been a spokeswoman since 2000 with the Peace Jewel for Unesco. And, among other things, Auritalia celebrates this year’s 30 years (1987-2017). In short, feminine and male bravery. And in these times, courage is more than ever necessary.

The tough Magerit pendants

Three bad guys are pendants in the Magerit Black Black Essence collection ♦
Magerit is a Spanish Maison who loves two things: fantastic characters and a jewelery that becomes a miniature sculpture test. As in the case of three Bad Guys, of the Black Essence collection, which is inspired to the comic book characters of the Seventies. The jewels are made in silver with golden details, in cartoon style. It is not easy to create engraved statuettes so detailed. Every character, says Magerit, has a character and a role, just like in a comic book story. Tiger Boss, for example, has a hidden look behind golden mirrored sunglasses and a solid gold pendant with a dollar sign: he’s a tough boy. Another pendant, King Tyson, shows his muscles, has a warlike appearance. While Lady Rabbit represents the feminine character of history, a charming girl, but attracted by an ambiguous environment. Three pendants conceived as unisex jewelry, certainly very different from classic pendents. Rudy Serra

The emoji by Roberto Coin

Roberto Coin sends emoji messages through the Tiny Treasures collection ♦ ︎
The emoji, the small icons that have become almost indispensable in a sms or whatsapp message, are now part of everyday life. Several jewelers have noticed and translated the expressions expressed in jewelery emoji: why not communicate a mood with a precious icon? But, of course, the same subject can be interpreted differently. An example is Roberto Coin, who has launched the Tiny Treasures collection, for the time being only on the American market, with the icons that are so popular not only among young people. These pendants are made of 18 carat gold, enamel and diamonds. The stones make up the eyes, the enamel gives shape to the expressions of the icons. Smiles, winking, love, are the emotions that communicate the chains with the Vicenza jeweler’s pendant. The jewels are made in Italy, they are also sold online through Neiman Marcus and cost just over 700 to 800 euros. Lavinia Andorno

New Dunes for Annamaria Cammilli

The Dune collection of the Florence Designer Annamaria Cammilli expands ♦
The Dune collection by Annamaria Cammilli is one of the battle horses of the Florentine Maison. It is called Dune because the sinuous progression of gold ribbons that make up jewels has, in fact, the smooth course of the desert dunes. But, in truth, they also suggest a soft fabric that winds over several layers. Between ribbon and the other, suggesting the movement of gold, there are small diamonds that reflect light rays. In short, it is not strange that the collection it’s liked it and was punctually renewed. The 2017 brought new pieces to the already well-known line. White or pink gold pendants follow the same stylistic design, but above all, earrings and bracelets have more open and airy volumes. In short, variations on the theme. And it is a surprising success if one considers that the designer of Florence, born as a painter, has invented herself as jeweler thanks to his creative vein and imposed his brand all over the world, especially by pointing to an original style, gold in the form of leaves and flowers. Weaving with Casato

Casato presents three new rings from the Hold me Tight collection ♦ ︎
Hold me Tight, interweaving of passion: a name, a premise and, at the same time, a premise. In short, Casato’s collection, eminent Roman Maison, is all about emotion. The interlacing of circles bound in each other, in the Hold me Tight collection, has the dual aesthetic, but also symbolic function. And it sends a thrill to those who receive the jewel made in gold, diamonds or emeralds (and perhaps even to who put their hand on the wallet). In any case, the collection is one of those intended to last in time. In fact, Casato renews it. In VicenzaOro September, for example, the Roman brand has presented three new variants that are added to the jewels already present in the collection. These are three rings, always with the chain pattern: one is in pink gold 18 karat and emerald, another in white gold and white diamonds, the third in pink gold and white diamonds. The three rings are added to earrings, bracelets and necklaces that make up the collection. Giulia Netrese

The track of Rivière to the bracelet

/

The Hook collection by Rivière, modern and classic bracelets at the same time ♦ ︎
The Roman Maison Rivière Gioielli, brilliantly launched few years ago, has already up on international stage with an important acclaim at Las Vegas Couture. But it does not stop at the specialty that has characterized its rebirth, that is, the pearls. For a long time, Rivière has expanded the field with new collections that mainly focus on an immediately recognizable, modern design and, of course, wearable with ease. This is the case of the Hook collection, one of the novelties of the new season and also shown at VicenzaOro September. The Hook Collection, in fact, hides attention with a simple but well-defined design. It consists of gold bracelets on which white, gray or black diamonds are embedded. But, alternatively, even sapphires or rubies. The metal lines doubled or intersected in different combinations: at all the junction point is stopped by a gold mark of the same color or of different shade, by contrast. The bracelets are in fact declined in the three classic gold colorings: pink, yellow or white.

Six gems with Morellato

Colored cabochon stones with opalescent shades with the Gemma collection. Images and price ♦ ︎
Autumn colors? Pink, Blue, Olive Green… Morellato has decided to color the new season with a new collection, Gemma, which points all about the opalescent nuances of cabochon stones. These are called cat-eye stones, that is chrysoberyl suitably made in different colors pink, blue, black, green, yellow and white. But the use of colored stones is not the only novelty. Another distinctive sign is the use of flexible silver for open bracelets, so that the jewel is easier to push and pull out the hand: after goes back into its original shape. Silver can be in natural, white or golden color with Pvd, that is, with a gold film applied to the metal. The collection also includes a elasticized choker with a central white stone: this necklace, on the other hand, is back in great fashion. The face of the advertising campaign will always be that of Michelle Hunziker. Prices: bracelets 69-79 euro, necklaces 69-99 euro, rings 44-49 euro. Alessia Mongrando

Wood and Russia with Annoushka Ducas

Annoushka Ducas touches wood and recalls her childhood in Russia ♦ ︎
Touch wood, in many countries has a talismanic meaning. It is an action, that is to keep the bad luck away. But touching wood can also mean attachment to an object, perhaps a jewel. This is what the British designer Annoushka Ducas has also thought. She joined the two concepts and launched his latest collection, Touch Wood, inspired by her childhood memories in Russia. The jewels have domes with onion shape as those of the Kremlin churches, along with a noble and resistant wood, the ebony, like the ring that was worn by the designer’s mother. Together with domes, which become pendants, rings or earrings, gold tassels also appear, and a cross but in a Christian-orthodox version, with three bars horizontally. Ebony is sometimes visible, for example as an onion-shaped pendant, while sometimes wood, hand-worked, is hidden inside the jewel but always in contact with the skin: it is its function catch lucky. In addition to wood, jewels are made of gold, diamonds, aquamarine. Giulia Netrese

The domestic jungle by Carla Amorim

There is the Brazilian flora in the new collection by Carla Amorim, a designer jewelry that reconnects to the Brasilia’s architectures  by Oscar Niemeyer and the exuberant nature of the great South American country. Leaves, plants and flowers are the source of inspiration of the 25 pieces of O meu caminho, a collection that reproduces shapes, colors and volumes of plants like tulips, monstera deliciosa (also called Adam’s rib in Portuguese), or a hanging plant with many small spheres that not coincidentally is named Rosario and the best known Heliconia among others. So, the designer proposes a walk in the garden of a house in San Paulo, in the Brasilia’s parks, in the Inhotim’s hills of the State of Minas Gerais, from where come the precious stones of the country. And that is why you are ideally walking between gold, diamonds, sapphires, emeralds, tourmalines Paraiba blue pool and tsavorites. Matilde de Bounvilles

Salvini chevalier

Chevalier ring and earrings in Salvini’s Dettagli collection ♦︎
A chevalier ring and ancient Egypt. The couple, certainly a novelty, is a idea of Salvini, brand of the Damiani group, with the Dettagli collection. The rings of the collection, in fact, have the classic shape of the jewels used a time and still today by the nobility to show the coat of arms of the house (in the past it served as a kind of stamp for correspondence). Salvini notes that the chevalier ring has ancient origins: it had been used since ancient Egypt as a family emblem. In the Maison version, however, there is a pavé of diamonds in place of the coat of arms, which can be combined with any noble or noble name. The jewels are made of yellow, white or pink gold, with white diamonds and matches with the earrings in the same style. Alessia Mongrando

Pandora is getting more and more golden

Luxury jewelery is in decline? Maybe. Meanwhile Pandora’s silver makes gold business ♦ ︎
Sometime it needs to realize how the world goes, including the jewelery world, and it is good for analyzing the facts. The numbers, for example. As for jewelery, experts have long wondered whether the cycle of high-quality, beautiful, but expensive production, is in decline. According to this interpretation, millennials, young people born at around the century, they would prefer inexpensive jewelry, under the roof of the 200-300 euro, rather than engaging in expensive purchases. According to a survey conducted in the US, young people are willing to spend no more than a month’s salary equivalent for an engagement ring, often the most important jewel of their lives. A reflection of this trend may be the financial results of a group like Pandora, who built an empire on affordable jewelery.
While many large Maison do not shine or even suffer from a drop in consumption, Pandora in the second quarter of 2017 reports a growth of 12% (in local currency) to about 649 million euros, compared with the second quarter of 2016. Pandora’s stores sell well: the revenues generated by the Danish company’s stores grew by 36%. In Europe and the Mediterranean area, growth was 10%, while the Americas did not shine (+ 1%), and in the Asia Pacific region there was a boom of 35%. If you are curious to know what jewels Pandora’s customers get more, the charms grew by 6%, and 19% the bracelets. Also know that on each jewel, Pandora earns 33.4% (Ebitda, ie roughly gross margin). The “yes” of Giorgio Visconti

Jewelery dedicated to the bridal event by Giorgio Visconti ♦ ︎
Andrea and Fabrizio Visconti drive to Valenza the company founded in 1946 by their father, Giorgio Visconti. The years have passed, but the company has been able to retain the imprint of its first designer, privileging a classic style and rich enough, as is the tradition of the district of the high jewelery district in Piedmont. Gold and diamonds, first of all, but also a workmanship that speaks to details and points to quality rather than quantity. It’s not an exception is the line of jewels devoted to a special moment of life: marriage. Jewelery is precious, but at the same time in an affordable price range. As is tradition, the Bridal line is made of gold and diamond jewelery: from the ring to the light neckline, to the earrings. In the captions of the images you find the descriptions of the different pieces. Lavinia Andorno

Messika moves for three

Messika presents three new pieces for the classic Move collection. With a unusual inspiration ♦ ︎
She has been moving for ten years, but she is not yet tired. So to celebrate the anniversary, Valerie Messika has thought of making room for Move, the most famous of the Parisian Maison, with three new pieces. They were presented at Couture and it is a necklace, with a wide mesh chain, one  ring and one cuff. They are all in gold and, like the rest of the jewels of the now classic Move collection, they have three diamonds that move.
Since everything has its own story, the Move collection also has it. The three diamonds are a reminder of when Valerie was a child and her father, an expert gemologist and trader of diamonds, gave her three stones to play with. Hoping, of course, that she do not lose the stones. Those three diamonds have been the inspiration for an infinite set of variations on the theme of moving stones within jewelery. The idea liked it. And now, Valerie Messika has decided to take another step forward: the two rings are dedicated to two characters. Ring Ron is named in hommage to the sculptor Ron Arad, while the Pei cuff has a link with architect Leoh Ming Pei: sinuous curves for the first and sharp corners for the second. Cosimo Muzzano

Jennifer Lawrence with Tiffany

/

Jennifer Lawrence with Tiffany Necklace designed by Elsa Peretti. Here are some of Elsa Peretti’s Tiffany jewelery, pictures and price ♦ ︎May 1, 2017 Elsa Peretti turned 77. She is one of the great jewelery designers who tied his name to Tiffany. Florentine, daughter of a oilman, she preferred to study volumes and metals rather than business. She graduated in 1963 in Milan, in interior design and began working for architect Dado Torrigiani.
In 1968 Elsa Peretti moved to New York where she lived the (a bit turbulent) years of avant-garde in the Big Apple. The aesthetic and professional wedding with Tiffany dates back to 1974 and is still ongoing. His jewels are among the most precious and admired pieces of the vast production of Tiffany. So, after joining Lady Gaga for the launch of the Tiffany City HardWear collection, the Maison has immortalized in the pictures the combination of one of the youngest claimed actresses, Jennifer Lawrence and the designer. And so there are the photos with Jennifer Lawrence in New York and Elsa Peretti’s Yellow Gold Mesh Collar for Tiffany & Co. Alessia Mongrando
