This is the name of the new collection of Gaia Repossi, minimalist designer of the Maison that bears her name (but it was founded in Turin by her grandfather, Costantin Repossi, in 1920). Now that Repossi is a brand that gravitates in the galaxy of giant Lvmh, which boasts a boutique in place Vendôme designed by the archistar Rem Koolhaas, and it’s been opened boutiques from Dubai to Macao, the new step is the Staple collection, proposed for women and men, at least to those who would wear a gold and diamond earring. It seems that the idea is also due to the partner of the designer, the artist Jeremy Everett. Also this mini collection is faithful to the essential style that distinguishes Gaia Repossi.
The search for lines reduced to a minimum and, at the same time, new, does not derive from the inspiration of other jewelers, from the past or the present, but from artists and architects such as Alexander Calder, Cy Twombly, Franz West, Richard Serra and Le Corbusier, the brutalist, minimalist movements and the Bauhaus. And she, before dedicating herself to jewelry, studied painting at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Jewels are not just objects created for the pleasure of being worn. They are also made to amaze. Indeed, to conquer the Guinness Book of Records. Two Indian jewelers have succeeded, Vishal Agarwal and Khushbu Agarwal, who have conquered the Guinness World Record for the highest number of diamonds set in a ring. Their record is 6,690 diamonds set in a large ring with the shape of the flower most loved by the Indians, the lotus.
The stones are set on an 18-carat rose gold ring with 48 petals. The jewel has an estimated value of over 4.1 million dollars and weighs just over 58 grams.
The Indian jewelers have beaten the previous record, which was since 2015 by Savio Jewelery with a Peacock ring with 3827 diamonds.
Vishal Agarwal created the design of the ring and Khushbu Agarwal, owner of Hanumant Diamonds, produced the piece. It took six months to design and create.
It is not immediately clear why, according to the Guinness World Records, the ring was inspired by the desire to raise awareness on the importance of water conservation. Launched in 2016 as an out-of-the-ordinary collection, the Neraviglia line of jewelery by Al Coro has been enriched with pieces to cover all possible needs. The Al Coro brand, German, was founded by an Italian, Giuliano Corelli, and retains that Mediterranean touch that is perhaps one of the aesthetic components that makes it appreciate abroad. The Neraviglia collection, a name deriving from the crasis between the Italian word nero (black) and meraviglia (wonder), manages to astonish with the contrast between the blackened steel coating and the rose gold. To the metals are added also pavé of white or black diamonds. Black steel is certainly unconventional, the effect is surprising and the name chosen for the collection is consistent. Black steel is the result of a special surface treatment: the material is anti-scratch and finished by the fogging of incandescent iron with fine black powder. The opaque tracks with black wrapping are cleverly intertwined with 18-karat gold loops. The collection is presented in a trilogy of necklace, ring and earrings and is divided into several lines: Primavera, Mezzaluna, Serenata, Gioia, Candy. Gold buttons. A simple element, always used for clothing. From this small round metal, one of the largest jewelery Maison, Van Cleef & Arpels, launched the Bouton d’or collection, inspired by a jewelery design introduced in 1939. Launched in the spring of 2016, the collection now enriches with five new pieces. Not only: in addition to the jewelery line it also introduces a watch. New arrivals are a necklace, a ring, a bracelet, earrings and a pendant, always in pink gold and white gold rhodium-plated to enhance brilliance, with a diamond in the center of the button, embossed in castone. Diamonds are chosen among the finest quality classes: D, E or F for color, IF and VVS for purity. The structure consisting of so many small metal elements contributes to increasing the volume and reflections of jewelery. It is no coincidence that the shape resembles the luxury version of the sequins. New jewels are added to those that use corniola, mother of pearl, chrysoprase and yellow gold.
The Bouton d’or collection is inspired by the paillette pattern that is recorded in the archives of the Maison in 1939. In the forties, yellow pastilles are used in a variety of ways, for example with buttons assembled on a ring or along the threads of a double necklace. The motif was later evoked in the 1950s, with simple or crossed bracelets, ornamented earrings, until it reached 2016, with the rebirth of the buttons.

Those variable-shaped stones have become elements that make up a series of jewels in the Maison, which have as a common element a pavé of white diamonds interrupted by placement of hard stones or coral. A tribute to the island of the Mediterranean that saw the birth of the brand, but also to the enchantment that is felt, more generally, facing the sea and the sun. The colors used in the collection are very strong: from red coral, to turquoise, to black onyx, to the kogolong, a white volcanic stone, glossy like ceramic but durable like marble. The rose gold color combined with sparkling white cubic zirconia: it is the recipe by Bronzallure for those who want to celebrate.
For Christmas, New Year, but also to a party organized the evening, we need two things: a bottle of white wine with bubbles (champagne or sparkling Italian wine, as you want) and jewels that are able to shine even with the lights low light bulbs, such as small flashes in the dark.
