Robertino Zancan, a rebel character. This is how describes himself the founder of the homonymous Maison, born in the fertile province of Vicenza specializes, in particular, in jewelery for men. Precious reflections to celebrate the winter season: Souffle de Diamants by Van Cleef & Arpels ♦ ︎
White is the color of snow, but is also of the most classic diamonds. Perhaps this is why Van Cleef & Arpels has decided to celebrate the most renowned and desired precious stone with Souffle de Diamants. The edition 2018 by the great Maison event, coincides with the months of winter festivities and snowfalls: in fact, it’s from November 2017 to mid-January 2018.
The jewels are, of course, exclusively made of gold and diamonds. The novelties are inside the lines Lotus and Frivole, in both cases with light, fresh, bright flowers with extensive use of pavé with diamonds. But we come to the jewels: lotus flower is one of the most popular jewels in the East as well as in the West. While in India, China and Asian countries the lotus also assumes significance related to the philosophical or religious tradition, in Europe and America it is simply a delicate, ornamental flower. Van Cleef’s lotus jewels have a finely perforated pattern and appropriate proportions. The last pieces added to the pre-existing collection are a bracelet, earrings and a white gold pendant. The petals are distributed on two levels with a relief and movement effect. On the occasion of Souffle de Diamants, the Maison also reveals a reinterpretation of the emblematic Bague Entre les Doigts Lotus, a ring with a smooth body and accentuated tunnel motifs to optimize the circulation of light.
Brilliant frivolity
Equally bright the pieces that make up the Frivole collection, consisting of ring, necklace, earrings and pendant. They are always flowers, but with different petals than Lotus, but with the same impression of lightness. Ottaviani, an Italian historical brand for bijoux and jewelery, renews its collections for the winter 2017-2018. Proposed jewels use natural stones such as agate, quartz or amber. Is there a symbol of the most effective love of the heart? For sure, no. That’s why the Maison Recarlo has decided to continue her Anniversary collection with a new jewelery line, Anniversary Love. The name says it all: love and special occasions are the recipients of these jewels who keep faith in their mission even in their shape. The peculiarity of this collection is, in fact, the choice of the shape of the diamonds used, all in the shape of a heart. From bigger to smallest, even tiny ones, are all stones that have the silhouette of the symbol of love. Let’s say for those who are not expert: it’s not easy to find a cutter that can provide a high number of diamonds with this type of shape, with 58 glossy facets (among other things, it was a cut loved by Louis XVI). Maison Recarlo has managed to center the target and, looking at the many pieces that make up the collection, was not a simple business.
The idea of diamond-shaped on gold is offered in a variety of ways: for example, with diamonds lonely, or with a sole of other small diamonds, in this case with brilliant cut, to make even more bright the jewel. The same shape is proposed in the monachelle and pendant.

Humble pastor Giotto designed a circle and this was enough to convince Master Cimabue that that boy was a great artist. The circle is a perfect geometric shape and, it’s not strange, the most used in jewelery. In this trail you will find the Cerchi di Morellato collection. They are slim, thin, slight looking circles that aim to attract attention without exceeding. They can be liked for those who love Nordic design, simple, linear, without too much frills. In this case rigid metal lines bind to circles on different levels to create lengths and dimensions that play with the movements. Necklaces have generous measures, but als hanging earrings are considerable. The jewels are made of steel, with total silver or pvd rose gold, sometimes with both matching shades.
