Special Gem Collection

This is a Picchiotti Special

Are mature markets suffering? Fortunately, there are emerging markets and the United States is recovering. But those who had a record turnover in 2013 cannot now make mistakes. “It’s a paradox, yet this is a time when mistakes are not allowed: fine jewelry has new prospects, and it is essential to carefully evaluate your offering,” admits one of the great jewelers of Valenza, Giuseppe Picchiotti. Fundamental therefore, the selection of diamonds and emeralds, Burmese rubies and sapphires, which Picchiotti personally chooses around the world. Thanks to trusted suppliers in Sri Lanka, Burma, Colombia and Africa, and expert goldsmiths in Valenza, he has created a collection of high-carat pieces, surrounded by precious stones that make the central gem even more sparkling. Like the cushion-cut sapphires and emeralds, held together by a double row of diamonds in the necklace of the Unique Art line, inspired by Art Deco. Or the one from the Crown collection, with matching earrings that feature a rare selection of pear-shaped diamonds in different shades of yellow and light brown, each embellished with round white diamonds. In contrast, the special ring from the Unique Diamond Collection uses a marquise diamond over 5 carats, surrounded by pink and blue sapphires. But this year’s showpiece is in the Special Gem collection: a stunning 13.06-carat natural emerald from Zambia, topped with a baguette of diamonds to enhance its clarity.
