The .bijouets brand, known for making all its models with 3D printing, is back with new collections. The first, just presented in Paris at Maison et Objects, is dedicated to the Roaring Twenties, from 1920 to 1930. The years of the Great Gatsby, so to speak.
The new collection of jewelry made of nylon (pendant, bracelet, earrings and ring) is called Tassel and was designed by Maria Jennifer Carew. Tassel uses the geometric style of that period: «The fringes, from soft and floating become rigid and immobile, but at the same time immortalize the dynamism: the result is a collection dominated by exact shapes and color», explains Carew. The jewelry is available in four colors: black, bluette, marsala and teal.
The path of Fogliolina, a collection designed by Selvaggia Armani, is different, which harks back to the classical world, with a Liberty style license. The jewels, always made with 3D, are composed of leaves and weaves, a bit like the decorations of the early twentieth century. The Fogliolina collection is also entirely made of sintered nylon and uses filigrees, perforations and chiselling made possible by the additive technology of 3D printing. In essence, material is not removed from a block, but the object created by the printer is composed drop by drop, with a digital process. Here are images of prices.
