The Korean rapper Psy (real name is Park Jae-sang), a new musical and lifestyle phenomenon, who in 2013 reached over 1 million 140 thousand clicks on YouTube with Gangnam Style, is crazy about Cruciani bracelets. So much so that after receiving some as a gift last December 31st, while celebrating his birthday in Time Square in NY, he ordered a stock in the shape of a four-leaf clover and heart, in 30 different colours. Luca Caprai, from the family that owns the Cruciani company, told Pitti this. The brand that originally produced lace, trousseau and later knitwear in Umbria, in Trevi, literally exploded on the market with macramé bracelets. So much so, Caprai revealed, «in 2012 we had a turnover of around 30 million euros and bracelets with the Cruciani C made up 75%. Our employees have increased by one hundred units, that is to say 520 and there are 48 markets to which we are thinking of exporting”. The Cruciani bracelet «is a democratic accessory because it can potentially be worn all over the world», specified Caprai. «And now it also becomes eco-sustainable, with special attention to the toxicity of the colors and materials used». As for counterfeiting, Caprai said that «buying an imitation on the beach is a crime. Anyone who does so commits a crime. Then our bracelets are recognizable by the brand, they do not fade and do not break.” Cruciani has signed an agreement with the Minister of the Environment Corrado Clini for the creation of the eco-sustainable Cruciani Green Innovation bracelet. The new knitwear collection instead draws inspiration from the world of the woods, between browns, beiges and braided workmanship.
