She passed away in 2011. Now, almost two years later, her jewels will go up for auction and the proceeds will be donated to cancer research. Some of the pieces from the collection that belonged to Evelyn H. Lauder, historic vice president of the global cosmetics giant Estée Lauder, global director of the Fragrance Development department and founder of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the Estée Lauder Pink Ribbon Campaign, will be put on display auctioned at Sotheby’s in New York on February 7th. However, those of the daughter of the founder of the beauty products group will not be the only ones to be beaten on the occasion. For those passing through New York it will be possible to preview the pieces from Saturday 2 February at Sotheby’s headquarters, from 10am to 5pm (1334 York Avenue, New York).
