Enchantment by Emma Watson with Tatiana Verstraeten

Okay, forever gluing an actress to a role she has held in the past is a mistake. A good actress does not have to be the icon of one of her characters. But, forgive us, it’s impossible not to remember Emma Watson as Hermione Granger, even if she has since starred in blockbuster films and held other roles. The Harry Potter saga will forever remain in the hearts of millions and millions of admirers. But Emma Watson is not just an actress: she is also an intelligent woman involved in various social causes, it is right to remember this too. Last but not least, she is also a lucky woman because nature has given her a handsome appearance.

Tatiana Verstraeten Day & Night

/

Day & Night. It doesn’t matter at what time, in short, just leave behind the problems and anxieties that (especially in this period) crowd the mind. And there is nothing better than a beautiful jewel to return to serenity. Tatiana Verstraeten is a talented and young designer who in a short time has climbed the heights of jewelry, to open her atelier in the cathedral of luxury, that is Place Vendôme, in Paris. Her new collection, Day & Night takes as its model the two symbols of the mirror parts of the day: the sun and the moon. Inspired by the two astronomical subjects are a series of rings and earrings, which seem embroidered in the light.

Anelli Lun
The jewels are in white gold, or yellow and pink, with diamonds that reach up to half a carat, therefore bright like small stars (or like the moon if you prefer the night). The Sol ring and the Luna ring (ie moon), for example, were designed to mate. The designer has designed the latter for «a strong, elegant, rock n'roll young woman, and declined in pavé or with a beautiful solitaire diamond».

11 designers for GemGenève

The 11 independent jewelers who will participate in the Designer Vivarium, at GemGenève ♦ ︎

It is called Designer Vivarium: a name that recalls a space dedicated to a species cataloged by the natural sciences, but which is instead an area of GemGenève for independent jewelers. And so, yes, the independent designers are a strange species, even if unknown to the heirs of Darwin. The fair, in its second edition, will be held from 9 to 12 May at the Geneva Palaexpo. And, like last year, it will reserve an area for small innovative brands: a space that has been at the center of visitors’ interest. The Designer Vivarium was curated by the jewelery expert Vivienne Becker, and has been expanded to include more designers. Here are the 11 brands that will exhibit their jewelry at GemGenève 20198.
