T.Gold

The jewelery industry in T.Gold

Countdown to Vicenzaoro January. And also for T.Gold, dedicated to technology for the goldsmith supply chain. Machinery and solutions for gold and jewelery are at the center of the event, which hosts over 170 exhibitors from 18 countries, with Germany, Turkey, Switzerland, the United States and the United Kingdom in the first places after Italy . 60% of the exhibitors are Italian and 40% foreign. TGold, like Vicenzaoro, is organized by the Italian Exhibition Group, and is held from 19 to 23 January. The fair is a showcase that aims to respond to the evolution of the supply chain. The January edition presents the selection of the top players in the manufacturing of precious stones and an expanded range of technologies. The exhibitors are gathered in Hall 9, divided into six macro-categories: alloys and galvanic treatments, prototyping and digital production, mechanical processing, assembly and welding, refining and recovery, finishing and tooling.

Thanks to the partnership with Afemo (Association of Manufacturers and Exporters of Jewelery Machines) and the collaboration with Ice (State Agency for the promotion of exports) companies such as Elettrolaser, Fasti Industriale, GB F.lli Bertoncello, Italimpianti Orafi, Legor Group, Orotig will be present , Progold, Sisma. From abroad, Heimerle+Meule, Niqua and Schultheiss from Germany, as well as Starrag Vuadens from Switzerland and Goodwin Refractory Services from the United Kingdom.

One of the themes at the center of the event will be the growing weight played by sustainability, a particularly sensitive topic for the new generations. According to the report Sustainability in the gold sector, published by Cibjo in 2023, the sustainable jewelery market is expanding and will reach 20 billion dollars by 2027. Furthermore, one of the main drivers of this growth is precisely the availability of new technologies and materials for jewelry making.
A trend that pushes companies to modify infrastructures to comply with sustainability standards and tools to track procurement and manufacturing processes: from international ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) certifications and WEEE registrations.

In this scenario, according to Ieg’s analysis, maximizing the performance of machinery is also an aspect of crucial importance, because it allows a rationalization of resources, both from the point of view of materials and from an energy point of view. Continuing on the line inaugurated during 2023, the technologies that large brands such as Chiron Italia and Crevoisier bring to T.Gold are characterized by a high level of integration, which allows the management of multiple production processes, increasing performance control and use of precious materials. In parallel with automation, some companies present machinery for custom or niche production, capable of enhancing manual skill and craftsmanship, the essence of Made in Italy. Even the progressive convergence of the fashion industry with that of jewellery, a phenomenon already in existence and on the rise, is among the drivers that determine the evolution of the technological offer of machinery for processing precious stones, and in fact the number of tools for working bronze and brass.

T.Gold 2024 is also a time for training and discussion. As with the Jewelery Technology Forum, organized in collaboration with Legor Group to explore issues related to the innovation of jewelery industry technologies. Ten thematic sessions scheduled for Sunday 21 January at the Educational Hub set up inside hall 8.0, with the participation of stakeholders, research institutes and protagonists of the goldsmith supply chain from all over the world. Intesa Sanpaolo, the Polytechnic of Milan and the Italian Gemological Foundation are the national voices, the Research Institute for Precious Metals and Metal Chemistry and COReGOLD Technology Consultancy are the international contributions. There is also room for successful company case histories with Legor Group, Progold, Fairever and Hoover and Strong.
The topics addressed will range from new challenges linked to macroeconomic scenarios, to strategies for the development of new alloys; from the most current metalworking technologies to design in the digital age. Up to the importance of Fairtrade and Fairmind sustainability certifications and the implications linked to the ever-increasing diffusion of lab-grown gems.

The refined wax jewels printed by 3DZ

It took Michelangelo three years to sculpt the statue of David. The Vicenza-based company 3DZ was much faster in reproducing the large sculpture (4 meters high) for the Dubai Expo in natural size. The secret? The statue was 3D printed. The company, however, does not stop at art sculpture, but also deals with smaller works, which are also precious: jewels.

The latest developments in 3D printing have reached levels of perfection that were unthinkable until a few years ago.
Andrea Simeoni, founder of 3DZ

At T. Gold, the international exhibition of machinery and technologies in parallel in Vicenzaoro, 3DZ presented a selection of the best products for additive manufacturing in jewelry. In particular, Visijet Wax Red Jewel, a machine to 3D print 100% wax casting models developed by 3DSystems, the largest 3D printing manufacturer for jewelry. It is a totally innovative red wax for the sector. Thanks to its characteristics of elasticity and high resistance, Visijet Wax Red Jewel allows you to create the most difficult geometries in 3D. The ease with which this wax can be handled and the great practicality in removing the supports, completely soluble, make it suitable for creating any type of design, including watermarks and elements with incredibly thin thicknesses. The new material was created for the MJP 2500 W wax 3D printer, a high-resolution, high-productivity 3DSystems machine.

Another solution is represented by Figure 4 Jewelry, an ultra-fast resin 3D printer for direct casting models and master models for rubber molds. The supports are easy to remove, for a smooth surface finish and minimal post-processing. Also present will be the formlabs Form 3L printer, ideal for fashion accessories due to its high details, large volumes and high definition. Finally, the company offers 3DZ Service Plan 4.0, a complete service package to access the Industry 4.0 incentives (contributions introduced by the Italian State to companies to improve technology): the package provides, by 3DZ, the interconnection service to business systems of 3D printers, already certified 4.0 Ready, together with technical assistance and third-party sworn appraisal.

A thousand brands in Vicenzaoro

The budget seems to go, perhaps, beyond the expectations of the organizers: Vicenzaoro (17-21 March), to which the parallel T-Gold is added, brought together a thousand exhibiting brands and 300 buyers from 50 countries. A good sign, all the more so when one thinks of the geopolitical earthquake caused by the invasion and war in Ukraine. After two years of covid (even if the usual security protocol remains) there is a desire to return to normal. The international jewelery exhibition organized by Ieg (Italian Exhibition Group) in conjunction with the international exhibition for machinery and technologies for jewelery and Vo’Clock Privé (contemporary and vintage watchmaking) sees the return of companies from countries such as Hong Kong, Thailand, India.

Over 140, on the other hand, the T. Gold exhibiting brands from 15 countries. Buyers come from the USA (17%), the Emirates (7%), Israel (5%), Saudi Arabia and Egypt. The Jewelery Golden Cloud platform is also activated, to arrange business meetings at the fair and for business occasions remotely. The program of related events and conferences is dense: the program can be found here.

T-Gold is back with 130 companies present

Like every year (with the exception of the 2020 pandemic) and as, exceptionally, happened in September 2021, the international event dedicated to machinery for goldsmithing and jewelery manufacturing returns to Vicenzaoro: T. Gold. Ieg, the company that organizes jewelery-related events, announces that there are over 130 companies from 15 countries scheduled for January 21 to 26 2022 at Fiera Vicenza in conjunction with Vicenzaoro January 2022. Among the major companies that will be present there are Legor Group, Sisma , Lm Industry, Ombi, Invimec, Dws, Btt Impianti of the Lem Industries Group, Ciemmeo, Heimerle + Meule and Goodwin Refractory Services. T. Gold is considered the most important event for the world dedicated to the technology of the goldsmith sector. Given the times, Ieg also specifies that Hall 9 will be completely dedicated and set up in order to guarantee maximum safety for exhibitors and visitors in terms of social distancing.

The exhibitors will be arranged in such a way as to make it easier for buyers to discover all the news thanks to an exhibition itinerary organized into six macro-categories: casting, mechanical processing, prototyping and digital production, finishing, refining and recovery, tools-benches and materials. In addition, T. Gold also provides a space for training on January 23 with the Jewelery Technology Forum, an international conference dedicated to new technologies in the jewelery sector and an opportunity for contact between operators active in research and development and goldsmiths. The appointment is co-organized with the Legor Group.

Vicenzaoro all in once as of January 21st

In case someone had any doubts (given the fourth wave of covid): Vicenzaoro January is confirmed. The jewelery fair organized by Italian Exhibition Group will be held from 21 to 26 January 2022. The company, however, probably does not expect a full return to pre-epidemic normality. The show will always have an international audience, but with exhibitors, buyers and operators coming in particular from Europe and the Middle East. Translated: there is still time for visitors from the United States and Latin America. A novelty, however, is the new claim for Vicenzaoro: All At Once. In short, it seems to indicate that the world of jewelery is all at once in a platform “which optimizes purchase paths, facilitates cross selling, reveals the latest trends and innovations, helps to expand networking”.

Vicenzaoro, in fact, does not only include the offer of finished products, jewels, but also stones, from processing technologies, packaging, and for a couple of years also watches in the space, confirmed, by Vo Vintage. Technologies and process innovations will also return with T. Gold, the international exhibition for machinery and processes for the design and production of jewelery, organized in collaboration with the Italian Association of Manufacturers and Exporters of Goldsmith Machines.

The new challenge of Vicenzaoro

A fair to forget (the pandemic), a fair to remember (one of the Italian excellences, jewelry), a fair to do business: Vicenzaoro September (10 to 14 September) has a difficult, but not impossible, mission. The adhesions have been excellent, considering the period, and hopefully the largest European event (given that Baselworld has not yet risen) in the world of jewelry will return to the glories of the golden years.

At the moment, in any case, the organizing company of Vicenzaoro, Ieg, has over 800 exhibiting brands (about 30% international) and buyers arriving from Europe and the Middle East, with top Russian and American buyers. The return in presence was essential to restart, after Green Pass or body temperature control, use of the vaccination title mask in English that shows the type of vaccine, necessarily approved by Ema (therefore, no Chinese vaccine and not even the Russian Sputnik ) for those coming from abroad.

There are many major leading brands present, from Damiani to Roberto Coin, from Fope to Gismondi 1754, but there are also many smaller jewelery companies which, however, represent an important slice of manufacturing and jewelery, such as Antonini, Mattioli , Annamaria Cammilli, Nanis, Giovanni Ferraris, Davite & Delucchi, Vendorafa and Picchiotti. And, among non-Italians, Stenzhorn, Fabergé, Tirisi, Yeprem, Akillis, Yoko London. In addition to business, as always in Vicenzaoro, there is a full program of conferences, workshops and training sessions, which we have already talked about on gioiellis.com.

In addition to wearable jewels, those who produce technology jewels also return with T. Gold, the international exhibition for machinery for the design and production of jewels. And for lovers of vintage watches and high jewelery, VOVintage is back (11-13 September), dedicated to collectors and open to the public.

The forecasts are positive: the Italian export of the gold and jewelery sector marks + 2.8% in the first five months of 2021 compared to the same period of 2019 (a comparison with + 86% compared to 2020 in the context of the health crisis is of little significance) . A positive dynamic that is also reflected in the import data. At the top of our exports are the United States and the United Arab Emirates (respectively + 67.4%, for 185.6 million in absolute value, and + 4.5% that is + 16.2 million) over the same period of 2019. In the top 5 logistic-commercial hubs in the sector such as Ireland, France and Switzerland, while Hong Kong is down strongly.

T. Gold with a hundred companies and changes location

The jewelry industry has one of the highlights at T. Gold, the event dedicated to machines and solutions for companies in the sector. T. Gold always accompanies you to Vicenzaoro in winter, while this year it will be held from 10 to 14 September, after the break imposed by covid in 2020. As we have already explained here, to participate in the fairs you need the Green Pass or Safe Travel. T. Gold will also be hosted in a new location, within the same Vicenzaoro September exhibition district. The organizing company, Ieg, has in fact redesigned the layout to guarantee exhibitors and visitors safety in terms of social distancing.

Among others, the main market players such as Legor Group, Sisma, Lm Industry, Ombi, Invimec, Dws, Btt Impianti of the Lem Industries Group, Ompar. There will also be a significant number of international companies such as Hemerle + Meule, Goodwin Refractory Services, Grs. It’s VicenzaOro January time

VicenzaOro turns on the engines for the January appointment. Here are the changes ♦ ︎

Just as jewelers renew their collections, in the same way those who propose a window to jewels try to offer innovations that may interest companies and the public. For this reason VicenzaOro January promises to get changes that aim to stimulate attention and, above all, to be functional to the product it offers, ie a trade fair. In this case, moreover, for sector operators the attention is double, given that VicenzaOro is combined with T-Gold, the international exhibition for machinery and advanced technologies for jewelery design and manufacturing processes.

Both salons are scheduled from 17 to 22 January. A date chosen by the organizers of Italian Exhibition Group which, on paper, seems propitious, given that Baselworld this year slipped at the beginning of May along with Sihh, an appointment dedicated to high watchmaking. In short, in fact VicenzaOro becomes the largest event in the sector until the beginning of summer. An aspect that suggested the hashtag #primavicenzaoro, a punishment to Swiss rivals. In any case, Ieg now controls in Italy almost all the jewelery-related exhibition activity, with the two VicenzaOro in January and September, Oroarezzo and Gold Italy. Only the Precious World organized at the Tarì of Caserta remains outside.

The combination of business and innovation is inescapable and at every edition our events are enriched. In this case, an appointment from scratch from Vo Vintage, an original exhibition dedicated to vintage watches and jewelery with unique pieces and rarities among the most sought after in the world, an announcement that is liked to the entire market.

Among the traditional brands of Naples and surroundings, there will be De Simone, and Chantecler. From abroad confirmed the presence of the award-winning Nikos Koulis, from Greece, and of the German fashion house Stenzhorn, while from Australia the pearls of Autore are expected.

And the renewal? A novelty, as we have already written on gioiellis.com, will be VicenzaOro Vintage (18-20 January), organized in the foyer of the first floor of the Vicenza Fair, and dedicated to jewelery and watches. Unlike VicenzaOro, the salon dedicated to vintage will be open to enthusiasts, who will be able to see the collections of great collectors like Sandro Fratini and meet experts like Giulio Papi, the world’s most famous watchmaker.

We will be at Vo Vintage to meet a selected and prepared audience. Selling vintage also means selling the history and culture of the object of the era, allowing enthusiasts to discover and relive the taste of the watch of the past, making them fall in love with the story behind it.

Alongside the Vintage novelty, the focus on sustainability developed and deepened in all its aspects is confirmed in the agenda with Cibjo, as well as in the traditional Digital Talks and in the Gem Talks. Instead, the world of technology goes into the fair: in fact, a hackaton was announced in collaboration with the University of Padua. The word hackton is used to indicate an event involving experts from different fields of computer science: software developers, programmers and graphic designers. In this case it will involve 60 thousand students and researchers called to find business solutions on new ways of wearing a jewel and making packaging. At VicenzaOro the 40 best proposals will come to submit to an advisory board composed of companies and industry players.

Together with VicenzaOro (17 to 22 January), hi-tech jewelery returns with T.Gold, the international event dedicated to goldsmith machinery and the most innovative technologies applied to gold and jewelery.
The tech innovations of the goldsmith sector able to dictate future trends debut at T. There is also an appointment with the Jewelery Technology Forum, the only international conference in Europe dedicated to new technologies and the latest trends in the jewelry sector (January 19) co-organized with the Legor Group. The Jewelery Technology Forum is a valuable training opportunity for both new players and veterans of the gold sector, and offers an opportunity for comparison and updating on the trend and trends of the sector. The topics covered will range from crystalline grain to the design of innovation, from 3D models in acrylic photopolymer by precision casting to the macroeconomic scenario. To close the event also an in-depth analysis on the theme of synthetic diamonds.

VicenzaOro is came back

VicenzaOro starts, between luxury and technology (with a bit of worldliness) ♦ ︎
VicenzaOro (19-24 January) is came back.Ieg group, that organizes the fair, defines it as “the biggest European show dedicated to jewelery and jewelery”. And, in fact, if we also consider the concomitant TGold, the numbers are there. More than a fair, in fact, word now that tastes a bit ‘old, VicenzaOro prefers to label itself as a business hub, a platform for jewelry deals, at the service of the 4500 companies involved, of which 35% foreign, with 96 thousand visitors expected from over 130 countries and 3800 top buyers hosted thanks to the help of the government, ie with the decisive contribution of the Ministry of Economic Development and ICE.
And the proof that VicenzaOro has been transformed into a format is its replication in other markets, such as Dubai. In fact, today the fair born in Vicenza organizes five salons in the world and is present at ten international events. In 2018, for example, beyond Vicenza will be in Hong Kong, Arezzo, Las Vegas, Dubai, Mumbai.
But VicenzaOro is also jewelry of all kinds, high, medium, low, for fashion, or components. And T.Gold is a salon dedicated to tools for jewelry production sector, in which Italy excels. In fact, T.Gold enjoys excellent health: this year the number of exhibitors has increased by more than 20% thanks to the entry of important names in the sector such as the British Durston and the German Hemerle + Meule. In total there are over 160 exhibiting companies, from 16 countries in the world, in particular from Italy, Germany, United States. Among the reasons of interest is the growth of the 3D printing segment and its solutions.
The prizes at the jewel
With the opening of VicenzaOro the Andrea Palladio International Jewelery Awards are back for the fifth edition, with the awarding of prizes to the excellence of luxury and top players of world jewelry that have stood out for their creativity, design, production, distribution , retail, communication, new media, career award and Corporate Social Responsibility. The latter fits into the strand of sustainable jewelery, to which VicenzaOro has also decided to dedicate an appointment with Cibjo, the world jewelery confederation.
To decree the winners, in the presence of the president of IEG, Lorenzo Cagnoni, the vice president, Matteo Marzotto, and the general manager, Corrado Facco, will be a jury composed by Franco Cologni, president of the Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte Foundation, Clare Phillips , curator of the Department of Sculpture, Handicraft of iron, glass and ceramics of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, Alba Cappellieri, Professor of Jewelery Design at the Polytechnic of Milan, Silvana Annichiarico, Director of the Triennale Design Museum.
