Peroni & Parise, golden combination

Peroni & Parise, two jewelers who combine creativity with modern and non-trivial lines. Here are the new jewels ♦

A couple (in goldsmithery) of two men: Lorenzo Peroni and Robert Parise are a combination who works in Dueville, a small town in the province of Vicenza. From their friendship, but also thanks to the creativity, they founded the Peroni & Parise, a company of jewelry that is at par with those of the best level. They started both with learning the noble profession of exciting the metal forms, polishing, file hits. And they added the choice of stones. And finally, we put them with the choice of design, very clean, but not anonymous, simple, but not boring, classic, but with the taste of small transgressions.

In short, Peroni & Parise already have to their credit many interesting collections.

Zara, for example, plays of retro and modern lines, clean and geometric. To this adds the contrast between opaque and transparent surfaces, with aquamarine, topaz, tourmaline, quartz, chalcedony in square shapes, mounted on white gold, yellow or pink with the addition of a brilliant. At the recent Voice Vicenzaoro Peroni & Parise presented the Lacrima (tear) collection, worn by a model with a nineteenth-century charm.

Precious Amore for Leo Pizzo

Amore is an Italian word known all over the world, like other popular terms like mamma or, if you prefer, pizza. Love is universal, it has no boundaries, it has no age, it has no colors. But it has a shape recognized by all, the heart. The organ that keeps blood circulating in the veins is also the one that beats the fastest when emotions overwhelm the mind. Leo Pizzo, an Italian maison from Valencia, knows these things very well and for this reason he conceived the Amore collection, which uses the eternal silhouette of the heart to symbolize the passion of the couple.

Anello in oro bianco e diamanti bianchi a forma di cuore

The Amore collection is made of gold and also uses brilliant-cut diamonds combined with precious stones such as pink sapphires to complete the pavé that completely covers the surface of the jewel. The hearts are slightly rounded, with a volume that helps to make the three-dimensionality of the jewel visible. The Amore collection includes rings, earrings and pendants linked to a double white gold chain.

Colors and gems by Anaïs Rheiner

Jewels in gold and precious stones, but above all seen through the eyes of those who have long lived in Africa, such as Anaïs Rheiner ♦

Anaïs Reiner is Swiss, but has long lived in Africa, first in Zimbabwe and then in South Africa. She opened its first store in Mozambique, in 2002. “I love this country, with colonial houses faded by years of war. But Zimbabwe was at that time still too poor. “After she moved, the violence has made escape from South Africa and she moved in the friendly France, in Paris, where he opened his boutique-laboratory in a small street 6, rue Cardinal.

Robinson Pelham, the brand that pleases

Robinson Pelham’s jewels, the brand that the Middleton family also likes ♦

The British royal family, but also their additional relatives, are always in the spotlight. Years ago, the marriage of the Duchess of Cambridge’s sister, Pippa Middleton, to the wealthy James Matthews was also no exception. In addition to the dress, attention was focused on the jewels worn by Kate’s sister, wife of Prince William. Pippa wore drop-shaped diamond earrings, signed Robinson Pelham.

It is a jewelry store that is located in the Chelsea District and has 19 years of experience behind them. For the first ten years produced only jewelry custom, then it widened the coverage of the ready-to-wear collections. The style is modern, not at all linked to the classic forms of English jewelery.

The colors of Dune Solar by Annamaria Cammilli

Annamaria Cammilli’s Dunes are the trademark that made the Florentine Maison famous. Logical, therefore, that the designer reserves particular attention for the line of jewels which presents sinuous curves dotted with diamonds or colored stones. Over time the Dune collection has branched out into different lines, each with its own characteristic. In the autumn, for example, Dune Color was presented, to which new jewels are now being added. The novelty is Dune Solar Color, which combines the wave design of the main line with the colors of various semi-precious stones.

The jewels feature different shades and shades of tourmalines, the deep blue of the tanzanites, the bright green of the peridot to which are added the pink of the rhodolite and the light blue of the aquamarine. Colors that match the variety of gold colors, which is another feature of Annamaria Cammilli: the Maison, in the various collections, offers the most precious metal declined in eight different shades.

Marco Dal Maso for women

Fascinated by travel and distant, tribal, authentic cultures. But also from the world of jewellery, which runs through the veins of the family: Marco Dal Maso learned the art of creating rings, bracelets and necklaces from his father, in the Dml, a Vicenza-based company that produces for third parties. But rather than just following in his father’s footsteps, the designer created a brand with his own name, after a stay in New Zealand, where he got to know the ancient Maori traditions. Back in Italy, Marco Dal Maso has focused on men’s jewelry, which is on the rise and quite underestimated by most of the manufacturers in the sector.

But not only. He has decided to expand his production also to women’s jewelry, without however losing the decisive style and the handcrafted aspect of his creations and some references to myths and dreams. This is how collections such as Orion, Amaia, Versa were born, which reinterpret traditional women’s jewelery with the design of the Venetian designer: 18-karat gold, also in the black version, with the use of white or black diamonds and precious stones, such as sapphires or emeralds. But also oxidized silver with gold and vermeil details.

New Secret Gardens by Pasquale Bruni

Eight years ago, in 2015, Pasquale Bruni presented the Giardini Segreti collection. It was a success that is destined to continue, as the Valenzian Maison under the creative direction of Eugenia Bruni now launches new pieces, which add to and renew the jewelery line. The style remains the one centered on the four-petal flower, with pavé diamonds, or with 18-karat pink or polished white gold. The petals are completely covered with pavé or show thin lines of white diamonds that outline the edge. There is also a necklace version that combines the two colors of gold. The portability remains the same as the previous jewels.

The Secret Gardens collection, which expands with the addition of new nuances, is not, however, the only novelty that Pasquale Bruni has prepared for 2023. The jewelry line is inspired by the gardens of Milan’s houses, invisible from the street , but small green oases which are often steeped in history. And also of style: Milan is the capital of design and, therefore, of the ability to translate art into a consumer product.

The precious secrets of Dreamboule

Dreams have surprising shapes, unpredictable developments, color sensations. And the jewels of the Milanese Maison Dreamboule are like dreams captured within small stages. Miniature shows, to be worn like a jewel. The rings conceived by Ben Crocco, a designer-entrepreneur who has a long experience in Geneva in the fine watchmaking sector, are unique in the world of jewelry. As evidenced by the new My Secret Glasshouse Limited Edition collection, presented at Vicenzaoro together with a line for men (which we will discuss shortly). These are small and efficient micro worlds synthesized into extraordinarily creative jewels.

Anello Spider
Anello Spider

The Glasshouse collection is a new variation on the theme introduced by Dreamboule: transparent spheres enclosing precious creatures. In this case, the Maison has used the special Nanosital glass: it is an optically transparent material, which is formed by the crystallization of glass and has superior physical and chemical properties compared to traditional crystal. It is also a material specifically optimized for jewelery and is very resistant (at 7 on the Mohs scale), plus it is faceted and scratch resistant. This transparent surface contains a secret world of insects. The bubbles hide an openable mechanism that contains the goldsmith’s synthesis of bees, dragonflies or cicadas made of gold, diamonds, sapphires, amethysts, topaz and so on. You won’t find any other jewelry like it.

Love in Verona on Valentine’s Day with Roberto Coin

The city of love is ideal for Valentine’s Day. Verona, stage for the eternal story of Romeo and Juliet, is also a destination for thousands of tourists who probably hope that their relationship with their other half will be more fortunate. In any case, it is to the Venetian city that the Roberto Coin’s Love in Verona collection is dedicated, which on the occasion of Valentine’s Day is re-proposed with the updates that have been added over time.

The jewels of the collection, with the design of the four-petal diamond flower, are inspired by some characteristics of the architectural decorations typical of the late Gothic style, which is also found in many palaces in Verona. It is also a common aesthetic appeal in the period in which the play written by William Shakespeare is set. The jewels are made in the three colors of gold, shiny or satin. The gold is worked with an ultra-glossy and resistant effect thanks to the special alloy used. Each diamond is set by hand. The closure of each bracelet in the collection allows maximum security while maintaining the linearity of the silhouette, thanks to a mechanism hidden within the design.

New fruits in Gucci’s Hortus Deliciarum

Hortus deliciarum (Garden of Delights) is the title of a medieval manuscript by Herrad of Landsberg, located in the abbey of Hohenburg, in Alsace, better known as Mont Sainte-Odile. The manuscript contained at least 20 song lyrics (only two survive), all originally notated for the music. But Hortus deliciarum is also the name of countless jewelry collections, to which Gucci’s high jewelry is now added. The novelties of the collection, anticipated in June 2022, were presented during the couture week in Paris.

Colors, geometric designs, fantasy: instead of the notes, Gucci has used the tools of jewelry, with stones in dazzling colors, such as rubellite, amethyst, mandarin garnet and emerald, in addition to the classic diamonds. The design of the necklaces, earrings and bracelets is also inspired by a geometric motif taken from ancient Rome, such as the chains with hexagonal rings. Or with a so-called chevron motif, as in the yellow gold bracelet, with diamonds and an oval-shaped 16-carat rubellite tourmaline: a jewel that, Gucci points out, takes 200 hours to make.

Valentine’s Day in Jaipur with Marco Bicego

A Valentine’s Day in Jaipur: this is Marco Bicego’s proposal. Jaipur, capital of the Indian state of Rajasthan, is also known as the pink city, due to the dominant color of its oldest buildings. And it is also the name of one of the historical collections of the Venetian brand, which are now offered in the formula linked to the feast of lovers. For example, with jewels such as the bracelet made up of 18-karat yellow gold circle elements hand-engraved with the ancient millerighe burin technique, designed as the ideal base for mixing with the pendants from the collection, such as the Amore Infinito diamond necklace .

Another ring, Jaipur Color, is in yellow gold, also engraved by hand with a burin, and with an unusual cut pink tourmaline. The necklace has a circle in white gold and diamonds, which joins a circular element in yellow gold, on an adjustable chain.

How to wear jewels, the new rules of etiquette

How many jewels to wear? Does the watch go well with an evening dress? And the rose gold … Six rules to break, but be careful ♦ ︎

Don’t wear a watch in the evening. Diamonds are only allowed after 6pm. Rose gold is of poor quality … These are some of the rules that have been respected by generations of women for many years. Those, at least, of a certain social class. Even today there are those who follow these unwritten precepts. But do they still make sense? Here are six rules that are all or in part outdated and which, therefore, you can safely break. But, be careful: as long as you don’t bury the aesthetic sense.

Rule number 1
Rose gold is not of bad quality

At the beginning of the 19th century, rose gold was very popular in Russia and for this reason it was also known as Russian gold. Pink gold is obtained by adding copper to pure yellow gold. Of course too much copper makes the alloy less valuable (because it contains less yellow gold), but it also gives it a too bright hue. Today, however, this is no longer the case. Rose gold is back in fashion and jewelers carefully dose the amount of copper in order not to obtain an excessively charged color. Therefore, it is better to choose jewelry made with a metal that is not too redish.

Rule number 2
Pearls are worn even before the age of 40

The classic string of pearls around the neck has been the jewel worn by mature women for decades, especially when paired with classic dresses: a cashmere sweater or blouse under a full dress. These have been the uniforms of entire generations. Today, however, pearls are also used by many jewelers in a very creative way, both for very expensive and affordable jewels. And today a pearl necklace can also be worn very well on jeans. So, wear pearls even if you are under 30.

Rule number 3
When to wear diamonds before 6pm

Know that, according to some, this rule is still in effect. But only a few are required to respect it, for example members of the British royal family. Yes, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle (who probably does not think about it after their farewell in London) cannot wear diamond jewelry before evening, that is by convention before 6pm. With one exception, however: rings are allowed. engagement or diamond jewelry in some particular ceremonies. What about the rest of the world? He certainly doesn’t pay attention to rules like these. Apart from engagement rings, which are always allowed, earrings, necklaces and bracelets can be worn. But only as long as the context is adequate: on the occasion of important shows, elegant parties, ceremonies. In short, diamonds yes, but not to go to the office or go shopping: in this case they are really excessive.

Kate Middleton al Bafta con collana e orecchini di diamanti e smeraldi

Rule number 4
When to wear the watch in the evening

Once leaving the house in the evening meant a special occasion. The watch was worn by her husband or boyfriend, so it was not necessary for a woman to wear it. Fortunately, this is no longer the case. But the watch should be considered, however, as an accessory to coordinate with the rest of the dress. A sporty brown leather strap does not go well with an elegant black evening dress. Better, if anything, a watch with a white or yellow gold mesh strap with a small case. In short, in the era of smartphones, the watch has increasingly an ornamental function: no one leaves their mobile phone at home, while a timepiece can be done without. So if you want to wear it in the evening, consider it as a jewel to coordinate with the occasion.

Paris Hilton sfida le convenzioni indossando un orologio di de Grisogono in oro bianco e diamanti assieme all’abito da sera

Rule number 5
How to mix gold and silver

This rule is definitely out of date. There are even jewelers who offer earrings, rings or bracelets made simultaneously in gold and silver. Rather, it is the quality of the jewel that counts. Silver that is passed off as white gold is certainly not a great idea. A design jewel that uses both gold and silver together can be very precious. And different jewels? Also in this case what matters is the combination, the mix of styles that must be pleasant and homogeneous.

Anello in argento, con oro rosa e giallo di Spinelli Kilcollin
Anello in argento, con oro rosa e giallo di Spinelli Kilcollin

Rule number 6
How to wear more than five jewels together

Be careful: turning into a Christmas tree is not advisable even today. But it can be fun to wear lots of different bracelets, or to stack thin rings. This way you can easily cross the roof of five jewels together, but that’s fine. The real problem, if anything, is choosing the right jewelry. Increasing the number is no guarantee of a pleasant effect. For this reason, some jewelers offer jewels that are specially designed to be combined.

The simplicity of Fiore Roberta

Italian jewels in the world: one of the many companies that export most of their production is Fiore Roberta. The jewelry company that gave life to the brand based in Bassano del Grappa (Treviso, Italy) was born in 1989 from the initiative of Pietro Fusaro, master goldsmith model maker. To the activity, previously reserved only for third parties, was added that of jewelry with its own brand. They are simple jewels, easy to wear, and with a style that could be defined universal: tennis bracelets, eternity-type rings, necklaces with large ovals as a central pendant.

The starting idea was to create handcrafted jewels using imagination, flair and passion for details gained thanks to the experience gained working with large companies in the sector. The business was continued by the founder’s sons, Mirko and Andrea, who created the Fiore Roberta brand in 2006. The company still uses exclusively craftsmanship, with the use of 18-karat gold and precious stones, for example, in the Archetti and Altair collections.

Jessica McCormack’s easy diamonds

The Jessica McCormack’s long journey: the world through new special jewels ♦

How do you say jewelery in New Zealand? You say: Jessica McCormack. The designer grew up in the green spaces of the country which is Europe’s antipodes, but among the treasures and curiosities of his father’s auction house. It’s been easy, so, to fall in love with jewels. The spring snaps after a past year in Sotheby’s jewelery department in London. In the British capital, which is also one of jewelry capital, Jessica has pick as partner the diamond collectors Michael Rosenfeld, and Rachel Slack, a business woman who is part of the Oppenheimer family, a name that is almost synonymous with precious stones. In addition to the passion for diamonds, the three have in common also love for beautiful things, in the way of the classic tradition that only London can inspire.

How to choose a phalanx ring

The rings to wear on the first phalanges of the fingers have convinced many celebrities. But are they comfortable? Are they not lost? Which to choose? Here is a quick guide to rings to wear on your fingertips, also called midi rings ♦ ︎

Midi rings are those that are worn on the first phalanges of the fingers. This type of ring is very trendy: Rihanna wore midi rings already in 2012. But the origin of the rings to be worn on the first phalanges of the fingers is older. Some paintings from 1400 to 1600 depict men and women wearing rings of this type, albeit with a different shape, according to the taste of the time. These rings were also used to emphasize the social class of belonging: wearing jewels on the fingertips, in fact, meant not being engaged in manual work, therefore being a noble or a rich person.

Anello da falange in bronzo placcato oro o argento
Anello da falange in bronzo placcato oro o argento

In short, the rings on the ends of the fingers have always been liked. But now?

They are annoying? The first thing a woman, perhaps engaged in the most diverse jobs, asks herself is whether these rings are easy to wear. In short, they will also be beautiful, but then they do not become annoying? It depends. Not all phalanx rings are the same. In order not to get boring during the day, they don’t have to be heavy. And neither bulky, with too many stones set or even pendants attached. If you like very elaborate rings of this type, wear them in the evening or in situations where you don’t have to use your hands for some specific task. Above all, they should be chosen of the right size, because it is much easier to lose a ring that is on your fingertips: in fashion it is fine, but without forgetting wisdom. Better to try them at a jeweler.

Phalanx jewelry care. Since these rings sit on the fingertips, they can be more easily in contact with liquids. Remember, for example, that they can easily slip off your fingers when you wash your hands with soap: it’s not nice to see your rings lose in the sink drain. Furthermore, if the rings are plated, for example, if they are made of silver with a thin gold film, they can be damaged in contact with corrosive liquids, such as dish detergents, sweat of the skin, but also food, such as juice. lemon or vinegar.

New Liens for Chaumet

Chaumet, the high jewelery Maison that is part of the Lvmh group, presented new pieces from the Liens collection, which is inspired by sentimental ties. The jewels are made of pink and white gold, with or without pavé of small diamonds, through a recurring design in the Maison’s creations. The jewelery collection therefore includes pieces such as Liens Évidence, with an element reminiscent of a suspension bridge.

The rings are now also available as a pendant. Jeux de Liens, a variant of the collection, features pieces with the motif of crossed links. The pendant is also available in a more voluminous shape, inspired by the infinity symbol. The pieces are in white gold with the addition of sapphires. Then there are the jewels of the Jeux de Liens Harmony line, which use gold for medallions with a sunburst finish. Complementing the existing models in rose gold with pavé diamonds, a new mid-size version will join the Harmony family in March 2023.

Poesia Gioielli with Innamorata for Valentine’s Day

What poem is more beautiful than love? It is, therefore, natural that Poesia Gioielli, a Crieri brand, dedicates a collection to the celebration of love, i.e. Valentine’s Day. Consistently, the collection is called Innamorata. The new jewelry line consists of a series of three rings and mini-hoop earrings inspired by the immortal shape of the heart. They are simple and precious jewels. The heart at the center of all the jewels is created with the use of natural rhodolite, a stone of the garnet family with an intense pink color tending towards red. The central stone is flanked by white diamonds in a game of asymmetries which are the hallmark of the collection.

Heart rings become a version of the classic diamond solitaire. The jewel is available in different versions: simple, with a pair of diamonds flanking the heart-shaped stone, or with brilliants set along the edge of the gold band. And there is also a double ring, with two circles side by side, one smooth and one with diamonds. Gold is offered in three versions yellow, white and pink. Even the hoop earrings take up the same style as the rings.

Breil design with B&ME Knot Love

In view of the Valentine’s Day comes a love knot to wear. It is that of Breil, a Binda Italia brand, which offers the new B&ME Knot Love collection. The knot, if it is shared, is one of the symbols of the union of the couple. But in this case it is not a simple way to join two different personalities, but rather a symbolic interpretation, because the knot actually forms the stylized shape of the heart. The original design is, in fact, one of the characteristics of Breil.

The B&ME Knot Love collection is made with a steel wire that forms a heart-knot in a single movement, without interruptions. The metal is available in a glossy, silver and IP gold finish. The golden steel version of the Knot Love ring is also offered with a glossy, white or black enamel finish (49 euros). The bracelets in silver and IP gold steel have an adjustable closure with a snap hook (60 euros in silver steel, 70 euros in IP gold steel). The collection also includes semi-rigid bracelets, with a thin chain and adjustable closure (49 euros in silver steel; 60 euros in IP gold steel).

Heart diamonds for Crieri’s Valentine’s Day

//

A pure love is the dream of lovers. And the color of purity is white, at least in the West. And how to combine purity with passion, sensuality, desire? Crieri takes care of it, with jewels paired with the party of lovers. High-end jewels that use the purest gem there is: the diamond, together with the precious metal par excellence, gold. White, of course. The Valenza-based company specializes, among other things, in tennis-like jewels, but not only. For Valentine’s Day Crieri suggests a necklace and ring with a classic shape and inspiration, with heart-cut diamonds, surrounded by a crown of other small round-cut gems.

The jewels are part of the Allure collection, which however also includes jewels in rose gold and with brown or black diamonds. Those proposed for Cupid’s party, however, are the white gold version and with the addition of the heart shape, which is a variant of the original line, which features more traditional cut diamonds.

The jewels by Ludovica Andreoni

The jewels by Ludovica Andreoni’s collections.

In recent years, too much has been written about the separation of Ludovica Andreoni from the former president of Ferrari, Ludovico Cordero di Montezemolo. And it is unfair to label Ludovica Andreoni as an ex, because her activity is different and that of a jewelry designer in Rome. The di lei are jewels that have an undoubted value, both for the materials used, such as gold, precious stones (even small blue diamonds) and for the design, to which are added reworkings of vintage pieces.

Everything is designed in the designer’s studio in the Parioli district of Rome.

Then, the project is entrusted to craftsmen who have the task of translating the design and the mold into finished jewellery. Ludovica Andreoni has thrown herself headlong into what she assures is her favorite activity, also with the production of unique pieces of undoubted value, which are added to the collections also offered through a convenient online shop. The style is quite eclectic, with numerous variations of the classic jewel models, for example, with the proposal of rings in the trumpet version, next to bands that show the letter L in relief. Which, obviously, is that of the designer’s name.
