Pietro Ferrante’s silver turns into gold at VicenzaOro together with a capsule collection ♦

It is called VicenzaOro and is the largest Italian fair dedicated to jewelry. And the event offers (we joke) another opportunity: turning silver into gold. This is what happened, for example, to the jewelery of Pietro Ferrante, a Milanese designer who has always used white metal in its most youthful form, that is, with rock style jewels.

Ferrante at VicenzaOro presented unisex rings and necklaces, entirely hand-made in Italy, characterized by special finishes in yellow gold, rose gold or ruthenium.

In short, a jump up towards more precious jewels. On the same occasion, the rock jeweler showed a new capsule collection of modular pieces, with charms to choose according to the tastes, the personality, the look and the mood of the day. The 12 musical rings of Pietro Ferrante: dedicated to the great rock stars ♦ ︎

The silver jewels have accompanied the seventies: from the oriental ones of Indian origin, to those of Central America worn by mexican women. These jewelry were liked, above all, by new generation, the young hippies, and wore by many rock stars. That’s why the Milanese jeweler Pietro Ferrante decided to tie a series of silver rings to a series of protagonists of the music scene that goes from the Sixties to the Eighties.
All, however, in tune with rock music, also various genres: from the sweet and rhythmic of Elvis Presley to the melodic rock David Bowie, to that of the Rolling Stones, through Led Zeppelin, Patti Smith, Bon Jovi, AC / DC and Bruce Springsteen. The rings, as required by the rock tradition, are all unisex in 925 silver, made entirely by hand in Italy thanks to the ancient technique of lost wax. They are twelve rings, with or without small studs, which can be chosen even without ever having heard before the songs sung by the stars to which the jewel is matched. The sea in a ring with Ferrante

Bijoux trendy by Pietro Ferrante. Rings, to be precise, defined “street rock tattoo”: they are silver and other materials, unisex, intended for a high number of decibels in the evening, perhaps in combination with the classic black Seventy leather jacket. Curiously, though, the collection of these bijoux is not inspired by the Sex Pistols or the Rolling Stones or also for the Guns N ‘Roses. In contrast, Ferrante has created this mini capsule thinking At the most famous short story by Ernest Hemingway, the old Man and the sea. The chevalier ring is large, with a mouth wide shark open (even if in the novel is a Marlin, a species of swordfish in the Caribbean). Another ring has a fisherman with a skin sunburned. And then a lighthouse, bracelets with anchors and fishing hooks: literary references to the symbols of the sea, for those who love him. Cosimo Muzzano
