Oroarezzo still changes date: it will be at the end of July

For this reason, the Italian Exhibition Group has decided to further move Oroarezzo 2020 to July, after on March 5 the fair was postponed to April 18 due to the coronavirus. The new edition of Oroarezzo 2020, if all goes well, will be held from Saturday 18 to Tuesday 21 July. But Ieg says he is listening to the response to the companies in the sector, which have been stopped for weeks due to the health emergency. In short, we need to see how the jewelry manufacturers and, above all, the buyers will react, since there are few international flights at the moment. In fact, “aware that the current situation may not allow international buyers to reach Tuscany, Ieg is planning an edition of Oroarezzo omnichannel to maximize meeting opportunities in any case”.

Furthermore, the Italian Exhibition Group announces that “together with the international bodies and in constant harmony with associations and exhibitors, the countries of origin of the buyers will be carefully selected, evidently in light of the individual and different evolutions of the health status”.

The world of fairs is in turmoil. The formats change and, above all, the market consolidates. And, thanks to the fuel supplied by the recent stock exchange listing, Italian Exhibition Group (the company that organizes VicenzaOro) acquires OroArezzo and GoldItaly.

On 15 November, in fact, the Arezzo Fiere e Congressi shareholders’ meeting welcomed the Italian Exhibition Group’s proposal to bring forward the period of exercise envisaged for the purchase option of OroArezzo and GoldItaly, historic events of the Tuscan goldsmith district. Ieg will therefore soon acquire the two events it had already managed since 2017. The value of the transaction, a note states, is determined by a fixed component of 3.5 million euros and by a variable component that may reach a maximum value of 1 million.

For the fortieth time OroArezzo returns (anticipated this year to 6-9 April): it’s a fair dedicated in particular to operators in the Tuscan area, but not only. There are over 500 jewelery, silver and goldcrafting companies, including prominent names such as Chiampesan, Falcinelli, Graziella, Unoaerre, to name a few. 450 buyers are also expected, hosted thanks to the support of the ICE.

The fair is articulated through exhibition paths dedicated to jewelery, jewelery, silverware, semi-finished products and stones that welcome some of the best Italian manufacturing companies. As always, there are dedicated areas: Cash & Carry and Tech.

Jewelery, Arezzo wins everyone





The statistics of the jewelery and goldsmith sector indicate 1,211 companies active in the province of Arezzo. Vicenza and Alessandria, instead … ♦︎

Italy is a country of saints, navigators and goldsmiths. The statistics of the Studies Office of the Arezzo Chamber of Commerce and published by Italian Exhibition Group on the eve of OroArezzo (6-9 April) photograph a sector with different degrees of health. The companies in the jewelery and goldsmith sector in the province of Arezzo have in fact increased from 1,185 in 2013 to 1,211 in 2018. More than Alexandria with its pole in Valenza (749) and Vicenza (545), where the other two areas are located where jewelery production is concentrated. The Tuscan city, in short, represents the largest district in terms of number of companies and also sees an increase in employees per company: 6.43 employees from 5.99 at the end of 2013. In terms of total employment, the Arezzo companies in the sector occupy 7,788 employees, the Alexandrian ones 4,855 and the Vicenza ones 4,280.

The state of health

Vicenza and Arezzo remain stable or moderately declining, while exports from the province of Alessandria show a slightly more dynamic trend, with national exports at + 2.2%. Alessandria focuses on the flows of exchange on Switzerland (as a re-export hub to the Maison of Geneva), while Vicenza and Arezzo remain penalized by significant export volumes on markets with less positive performances (such as the United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong). The United States remains an important and stable target market for the import of Made in Italy products for all districts, from jewelery to jewelery.

The export performance of the goldsmith district of Arezzo towards the main target markets, shows how the United Arab Emirates, while discounting a reduction of almost 15 percentage points compared to 2017, is confirmed in first place in the ranking of the main outlet countries for the jewel of Arezzo. The goldsmith district of Arezzo anticipates the times. Ieg, Italian Exhibition Group, the company that organizes OroArezzo, has decided to anticipate the one-month fair. OroArezzo will therefore be held from 6 to 9 April (last year it took place on 5-8 May), again at the Arezzo Fair and Congresses. The explanation of this change of dates is to “facilitate the presence of buyers from the target markets for the Italian goldsmith district, while maintaining the distinctive and distinctive elements of the event”. Indeed, in May will incumbent, GemGenève (May 9-12), the Las Vegas Couture (May 30) and the Jck, also in Las Vegas (May 31).

OroArezzo wants to shine again






OroArezzo at the start with the usual business and jewelery formula. The theme also for 2018: the bracelet ♦ ︎
OroArezzo restarts (5-8 May). This is the 39th edition of the event focused on jewelry and component manufacturers, which for the second year is organized by IEG, Italian Exhibition Group. OroArezzo foresees the participation of 650 goldsmith companies. In particular, last year gold jewelery companies accounted for 75% of the total exhibitors, while 13% were the machinery companies and 12% those in the cash and carry section, for ready-to-go sales. With the contribution of the government, that is the Ministry for Development and Ice, moreover, 450 top international buyers are coming from over 60 countries, outlet areas of Made in Italy, as well as Italian retailers. For the business, the Meeting Club platform was organized for exhibitors, which will help to put the owners of goldsmiths in contact with buyers from emerging markets. A one-to-one meeting agenda with buyers will be scheduled at the stand of the exhibiting companies during the four-day fair. OroArezzo has, then, as a side dish the usual competition among jewelry producers, also this year centered on the theme of the bracelet.

OroArezzo returns (5-8 May 2018). The appointment, since last organized by Italian Exhibition Group is a point of reference especially for the world of goldsmith production that has one of its strengths in the Arezzo area. As always, this year OroArezzo hosts, next to the stands and the commercial activity, also a stage for companies. In particular, with the Premiere competition, which sees the jewels of companies in contention: that of 2018 is the edition number 28. Curiously, the theme chosen this year is the same as last year: the bracelet. With a particular focus on iron: almost a provocation in the land specializing in gold processing. The jury that will examine and evaluate the creations will be chaired by Beppe Angiolini, art director of OroArezzo and honorary president of the Camera Nazionale Buyer della Moda.

OroArezzo returns, the business of the yellow metal seen through the jewelery ♦ ︎
The countdown has already begun. The second life of OroArezzo (6-8 May), entrusted from last year to the care and synergies of the Italian Exhibition Group (the fair organization that organizes VicenzaOro) can now take advantage of the strong facilities entrusted to the general manager of IEG, Corrado Facco . Here, then, that the appointment number 39 is no longer in competition with the most famous VicenzaOro, but becomes complementary. More dedicated to the production, to the components, to the processing of jewels, as it is in the tradition of the Aretine district, OroArezzo foresees the participation of 650 goldsmiths. In fact, last year the goldsmith companies represented 75% of the total exhibitors, while 13% were the machine companies and 12% those present in the cash and carry section, for immediate sales.
The program presented by Ieg includes Meeting Club and Retail Club Italia, moments dedicated to the business of over 450 buyers hosted, of which 80% international, operators of emerging and traditional markets, coming from 60 countries thanks to the support of the Ministry of Development and Ice, which finance part of the organization.
In the program there is no lack of outline events, such as the Premiere Competition, which sees the goldsmith companies competing and this year has as its theme the Goldsmith’s Art and the Recovery of Precious Metals. Who will win?

So much so that he has her showroom in Margutta street, that is, in the most exclusive shopping street of the Capital. Her story is double-stranded with that of Rome: she studied at the Orafe Arts Academy in the city and since 2012, when she is a full-time jeweler.
After a period of exploration of styles and forms of creativity, she found her formula and her space. Now, for example, Gaia Caramazza is permanently present at Altaroma events “alongside stylists and prestigious designers.” For her jewelry uses a mixed technique. For example, engage bronze or silver with stones such as topaz, calcite, agate, quartz, or mother of pearl. Often the stones are left in the rough state as mother nature has produced them. Unoaerre’s new life

The historic brand Unoaerre, reborn after a period of distress, presented its novelties to OroArezzo ◆
Italy is one of the countries with a long tradition of goldsmith. He is also one of the leading players on the gold and jewelery market. This tradition is manifested in several ways: it can be continued by singles designers, small Maison producing a few pieces a year, or by large realities that combine crafts with the industrial organization, such as Unoaerre.
At OroArezzo 2017, the company, which is based in the Tuscan town, has presented some new examples of its production. Jewelery that is destined to different markets and customers and are witness to the breadth of the offer of the brand of Arezzo. Yellow gold or pink gold, chains, rings, rings: the proposal is quite different.
Unoaerre, founded in 1926 by Leopoldo Gori and Carlo Zucchi, has just turned 90 and is preparing to celebrate a century of activity: it is considered the first goldsmith company in the world, and is not an exaggeration. The name comes from what was the first punch released in the city: 1Ar. The inscription has become the Unoaerre extended name. To give an idea of ​​the size, the company has a turnover of 140 million euros. The best 11 bracelets from OroArezzo, chosen from 65 at Première contest 
In 65 they presented themselves for a bracelet match. The occasion was Première, jewelery contest that is repeated to every OroArezzo (this is the number 27, the first run directly by Italian Exhibition Group, the same that organizes VicenzaOro). The theme of the 2017 contest was, in fact, the bracelet. Trendy, creative, imaginative, of metal more or less precious: here are the 11 winners nominated by the jury, in a competition divided into four sections, Creative invention and made at state of art, Innovation in tradition, Jewelery of fantasy, Jewel sculpture.
For the first section, namely creative invention and artwork, they won Sade (white, yellow, pink, chocolate and black gold wrist bracelet), Falcinelli (yellow gold ivory bracelet and black diamonds), and Alunno & Co (bracelet Abstract core, silver with movable pieces of ball chains and tubes). For the Tradition and Innovation section, Eurocatene (Inca’s Mirror, yellow gold and Swarovski stones bracelet), Chiampesan (yellow gold Nastrino bracelet), Tessitore (with gold-plated bracelet and diamonds), Migliorini (Twine bracelet, gold), Govoni (white gold bracelet with sapphire hearts and diamond riviére). For the Jewelery section of the fantasy, they prevailed Uno Aerre (Golden Venus, bronze bracelet), Loto Preziosi (Spring collection bracelet, yellow gold and champagne stones), Gobi (Shining bracelet, silver with gold plated pieces). At least, for the Jewel-Sculpture section, Graziella Group (bronze bracelet titled Storie Racconti, a work by sculptor Cesare Del Brenna).

A second life for OroArezzo

After the crisis for OroArezzo there is a desire for optimism. Focus on Made in Italy ♦

So OroArezzo (6-9 May), a traditional fair in one of the Italian districts of the ornament, is in balance between pessimism and optimism. The numbers, in fact, would push the balance on a not reassuring view: as the name indicates, the event had as its starting point the gold processing, particularly alive in the Tuscan area. And in 2016, demand for gold in the world dropped by 22%. This is one of the reasons that has depressed Italian jewelry sales to 7.9 billion, with jewelery for exported 5.4 billion. Data that marks a difficult time for business in the industry.
It seems, however, that spring 2017 is more serene, especially because of a less uncertain climate for markets such as the Middle East. But on US there is the cloud of the Donald Trump import duties. And, more, the price of gold goes to swing, linked to crisis, election climes, and world economy figures. In any case, who exports is on average less than 20% compared to a few years ago.
All this is reflected on OroArezzo, now organized by the Italian Exhibition Group, the subject born of the union of Fiera Vicenza (that organizes VicenzaOro) and Fiera Rimini. An almost obligatory step, the concentration of the fairgrounds, which should bring synergies (so hopefully) also in the case of OroArezzo, which is now very focused on territory and reality: 640 exhibitors for 97% Italians, on 20 thousand square meters. In short, a concentrated appointment on the industrial side (the industry counts 10,000 businesses and 40,000 employees.
On the side of the event, it is worth mentioning the inauguration of the new Museum of the Oro, inside the prestigious seat of the 14th century Palazzo di Fraternita di Arezzo, with the jewels of Oro d’Autore Collection, created by Arezzo Fiere e Congressi. It includes 82 jewels made by goldsmithers artisan from Arezzo and Vicenza in collaboration with artists, architects, designers and designers. In addition, the Premiere Contest continues. OroArezzo shines again
