Countdown to Oroarezzo (Arezzo Fiere, 11-14 May), a fair dedicated to Made in Italy manufacturing: from gold or silver chains, to semi-finished products, from components, to necklace clasps, but also jewelery ready for sale to the public and the classic Première competition, which rewards the best goldsmith creations presented by exhibiting companies. Oroarezzo is organized by Ieg, a company that now has an international scope and which also offers Vicenzaoro in Italy.

Oroarezzo is strongly devoted to exports, with the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, the United States, Hong Kong and France accounting for 65% of purchases in the gold sector, for a value of 1.6 billion. For this reason, in Arezzo there are many big names in the sector, such as Richline Italia, Giordini, Omega Art, Amp, Coar, Croma Catene, Quadrifoglio and Silo among the manufacturers, and then Unoaerre, Alessi Domenico, Karizia, Chrysos, F.lli Bovo, Veneroso and D’Orica, Gold Art, Artlinea, Moraglione 1922, Giloro and New Ander. Oroarezzo makes room for fashion

Oroarezzo 2024 returns from 11 to 14 May, the international platform for the industrial production of jewelery signed by the Italian Exhibition Group which takes place at Arezzo Fiere e Congressi. With something new: the event opens to companies in the fashion supply chain. The 43rd edition organized as always by Ieg enhances the exhibition mix. It is also the first act of Matteo Farsura, new Global Exhibition Manager of Ieg’s Jewelery & Fashion division.

The novelty is Precious Fashion, an area dedicated to the fashion accessory production chain with particular focus on Made in Italy. Brands, designers and style offices will be able to come into contact with leading companies in technologies for high-level finishes, innovative workmanship, efficient and sustainable processes serving the fashion and luxury sector. In this section there will be space for Italian excellence in the chemical and galvanic processing of metals and the most appreciated companies producing, welding and assembling metal accessories and decorations.

The broad offer focused on the best gold and jewelery production, which meets the market needs for a quality supply for the development of unique creations and private labels, supported by the cash & carry area, is enriched with a section for the production and the processing of the fashion accessory.

The incoming program for buyers, thanks to the collaboration with Ice, the Agency for the promotion of Italian businesses, aims at business matching by looking at the consolidated export markets, i.e. Eastern Europe, the USA and the Middle East, going as far as South East Asia and South America. Also expected at the fair are a selection of Italian retailers who are particularly interested in the offer of the Cash & Carry area for ready purchases aimed at the seasonal renewal of their shop windows.

Oroarezzo also provides opportunities for technical training and professional updating for companies in the sector. Some in-depth meetings on supply chain issues are scheduled to encourage the growth of sector skills and knowledge, organized with the collaboration of trade associations, leading companies, certification bodies and institutions.

Finally, Première returns, the historic competition with which Oroarezzo rewards the best goldsmith creations presented by exhibiting companies. An event that for 33 editions has valorised the technical know-how and creative capabilities of the goldsmith’s factory, called to interpret a theme proposed by the Art Director Beppe Angiolini. The Talents category has also been confirmed this year, reserved for students and young designers under 30.

Oroarezzo shines again

Oroarezzo 2023 went well, the results indicate: +40% in attendance of visitors compared to 2022 and at the level of 2019 from a hundred countries, more numerous than in recent years. Visitors arrived in 42% of Europe (especially Spain, France and Romania), from the Middle East (25.5%), the Americas (11.3%) and Asia (11%), Africa (9.1%). The number of hosted buyers doubled: 430, from 55 countries, thanks to the synergy with Agenzia Ice. The 2023 edition was characterized by a new positioning on the calendar of appointments for the gold and jewelery business. Furthermore, the event organized by Ieg gave more space to goldsmith and jewelery production and to the technology segment.

Visitors also found a new layout that facilitated the experience between different exhibition sectors, a large investment in the contingent of buyers all reported by exhibitors as important buyers and finally a growing content program and the involvement of the younger generations with the new Talents category of the Première contest. Talents has expanded the audience of creatives who have measured themselves with the theme of light to the students of three training courses of local goldsmith schools: the Master in History, Design and Marketing of Jewelery of the University of Siena Campus of Arezzo, the ‘Professional Technical Institute Margaritone and the Liceo Statale Piero della Francesca, both in Arezzo.

The best jewels of Oroarezzo

During Oroarezzo, a fair dedicated to the Made in Italy production of gold and jewelery, the Première competition has been held for 32 editions, which rewards the jewel chosen by a jury presided over by the creator of the contest, Beppe Angiolini, honorary president of the national chamber of fashion buyers. For 2023 the theme concerned light. Among the 56 creations in the competition, the 13 winning brands were selected: Moraglione 1922, Quadrifoglio, F.A. Jewels, Artlinea, Anima, Silver Light Group, Gobi Preziosi, Veneroso, Daniela Neri, Graziella Braccialini, Giordini, Unoaerre Industries, Alunno & Co, plus D’Orica as a special mention.

Alongside the established companies, Marta d’Ambrosio was chosen for the Talents under 30 category, with the Luce è vita series. Composed of a radial element with an opal cabochon in the center from which smooth rays of yellow gold depart, alternating with those of white gold studded with luminous stones of various colors, according to the jury «it represents a typical example of jewelery that characterizes the most refined realizations of the Italian Style». The winner will be able to see their creative idea realized. In the new category dedicated to aspiring under 30 goldsmiths, three classes of institutes competed: the Master in History, Design and Marketing of Jewelery of the University of Siena, Campus of Arezzo, the Margaritone Professional Technical Institute and the Liceo Statale Piero della Francesca, both from Arezzo, for a total of 15 free-themed projects.

Oroarezzo renews the spaces

New exhibition layout for Oroarezzo, the fair organized by the Italian Exhibition Group dedicated to companies in the gold, silver and Made in Italy jewelery sector (Arezzo Fiere e Congressi from 13 to 16 May). Ieg has rethought the exhibition itinerary, which will be centered on itineraries that aim to offer a better organization of the product communities and improve the visitor-buyer experience.

For this edition, exhibitors are up by 15% compared to 2022. Goldsmith, silversmith and jeweler manufacturing, together with semi-finished products and components, represents 65% of the offer, 90% Made in Italy, with a representative selection also of the best of foreign production districts. Among the jewelery brands present, Moraglione, F.A. Jewels and Stefano&C of the gold district of Valenza. There is no shortage of machinery and technology companies for the gold sector, precious and semi-precious stones, packaging and visual merchandising services, as well as the usual area dedicated to cash & carry for retailers.

OroArezzo sees the Light

Countdown to the return of OroArezzo, the event organized by the Italian Exhibition Group and dedicated to gold, silver and jewelery manufacturing, scheduled at Arezzo Fiere e Congressi from 13 to 16 May. The new edition of the Première competition will evaluate projects and creations of jewels of any type, style, design, workmanship and size, without setting limits to the creativity and inspiration of each company and participant: the only requirement is the light that the jewel must be able to express. In short, maximum freedom.

The nominations of the pieces in competition are open until April 21st, the jewels will be exhibited for the entire duration of the Arezzo event. Furthermore, for the first time, the Première showcase welcomes the projects of goldsmith school students. Alongside the jewels of the exhibiting companies, there will also be space for the jewelery designs of aspiring young goldsmiths, who will be able to compete in the unprecedented Talents category with projects on any theme.

Oroarezzo returns on May 13th





Oroarezzo (May 13-16), the event organized by the Italian Exhibition Group for Made in Italy jewelery manufacturing companies, is back. Oroarezzo also presents itself with a new claim, Shaping jewelery ideas, to underline the ability to transform ideas into precious jewels. As always, Oroarezzo focuses on goldsmith manufacturing, semi-finished products, components and tech, but also offers retailers the cash & carry area for ready-to-wear purchases in view of the seasonal reassortment of the shop windows.

Ieg also announces an incoming program for buyers which, thanks to the collaboration with ICE (Agency for the promotion abroad and internationalization of Italian companies) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aims at business matching with the invitation to buyers from Eastern Europe, the USA and the Middle East, South East Asia and South America.
The Première review is also back, a competition that rewards the best goldsmith creations conceived and created by exhibiting companies on a chosen theme, focusing the spotlight on the new generations. Première adds a new category: Talents, reserved for students and young designers under 30. The most beautiful design will be awarded by the jury of operators and industry experts, chaired by Beppe Angiolini.

The gold of Loto Preziosi




In the Italian gold district, in the Arezzo area, Loto Preziosi is one of the companies with the greatest tradition: in fact, it is about to turn half a century. Almost 50 years ago Giuseppe Aramini has founded, together with his wife, the company specialized in the processing of jewelry, especially gold. The company’s specialty, which is now led by the son of the founder, Tiziano Aramini, is a vast assortment of earrings, chokers, bracelets and brooches, pendants, rings, parures with and without semi-precious stones and super-light articles.

The restart of Oroarezzo




It’s time to take stock for Oroarezzo (May 7-10), the event organized by the Italian Exhibition Group focused on goldsmithing from the main Made in Italy goldsmith districts. The final data indicate over 300 exhibiting brands, including jewelery and technology, 200 foreign buyers from 50 countries. To summarize, the organizers speak of a “widespread sentiment of trust towards a restart path”. If the sentiment has translated or will translate into business, a significant milestone would have been reached, if we take into account the moment characterized by inflation and war in Ukraine, with the relative marginalization of the Russian market.

In the final press release, IEG emphasizes the presence in Arezzo of buyers from the Middle East and Europe (especially from the East), the international vocation and the positioning in the key target markets. But Oroarezzo also recorded arrivals from the Americas and South East Asia (Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam) as well as emerging markets such as North Africa, with buyers arriving in downstream cities thanks to IEG’s scouting activity, with the aim of generate new perspectives for companies. The Cash & Carry offer recorded the presence of Italian retailers, in view of the seasonal restocking. The next appointment with Oroarezzo will be in May 2023.

The winning bracelets of Première contest at Oroarezzo




Here are the winning bracelets of Première, a traditional competition that takes place as part of Oroarezzo, the Italian Exhibition Group event dedicated to Made in Italy and international jewelery at Arezzo Fiere e Congressi. In fact, it was not just one jewel that won, but 15 companies among the 58 participants in the competition. The bracelets, the theme of this edition, were divided into three categories: creativity and design, creativity art and sculpture, creativity and peace, to which was added the “special mention of the jury”. The winners of competition number 31, therefore, were Leonardo Gioielli by L’Immagine, Maria De Toni, Mosca Guido, Veneroso, Alunno & Co (Creativity and Design). Arcadia Gioielli, Femar, Loto Preziosi, Gobi Preziosi and Anima (for the category Creativity, Art and Sculpture). Graziella Group, Orolò, Unoaerre Industries, Giordini (Creativity and Peace). The honorable mention was awarded to Rial.

Oroarezzo start between events and business




Oroarezzo (May 7-10) countdown. The event organized by Ieg in the Arezzo Fairs and Congresses pavilions also extends to the city center, with initiatives for exhibitors and visitors. Oroarezzo’s themes include manufacturing and design, but above all business for operators in the sector. There is no shortage of training opportunities. On Sunday 8 May, for example, Confindustria Federorafi organizes the technical workshop entitled Sustainability as a pass for the future. The idea is to offer guidance to raise awareness of market demands. It proposes a comparison on certifications in the field of circularity and traceability of precious metals and on the role of the sustainability of the supply chain as a key to enhance the supply chain in terms of both creativity and innovation, especially in the world of luxury. On stage, Federorafi director Stefano de Pascale, Luca Parrini, coordinator of the Aretina Goldsmith Consultation, Silvia Bezzone (Bulgari Manufacture), Egidio Chini (F.lli Chini), Raul Sapora (Auditor, Expert in CSR and Gemmologist), Cristina Squarcialupi (Unoaerre Industries, Federorafi vice president with responsibility for Sustainability) and Damiano Zito (Progold).

On Sunday evening the headquarters of Sugar, in Corso Italia in Arezzo, will host the awards ceremony for the Premiere Competition. Among the jewels in the competition, the best interpretation of the theme of the bracelet among 58 companies in the competition, in terms of Italian goldsmith manufacturing and design, was the TV presenter Jo Squillo. Outside the exhibition center, on Monday, together with Confguide Confcommercio Arezzo, Ieg accompanies the international buyers hosted on a tour experience to discover the cultural and artistic heritage of Arezzo.

More than 300 brands are expected in Oroarezzo, the event organized by Ieg, which resumes in attendance (7 to 10 May) after the blockade of the two pandemic years. Despite the shadows that are projected from Ukraine on the entire luxury sector, the goldsmith sector has held up well for now, even if it is starting to register the repercussions of the blockade of the Russian market. In any case, in Oroarezzo there will be companies from the Tuscan district such as Unoaerre, Giordini, Gold Art, Graziella Group, Richline and Lusso, but also from the Vicenza district such as Chrysos, Rancangelo, Alessi Domenico, Superoro, Ronco and Sharma Group World, from Naples. with Roberto Giannotti, Milanese with Milor.

In Arezzo, the fair develops through four pavilions dedicated to goldsmiths, jewelery, silverware, semi-finished products and stones. According to the Banca Intesa Sanpaolo Study Center, the Arezzo goldsmith district recorded growth compared to the pre-crisis level equal to 23.5% on 2019 and is aimed at the main outlet countries of Made in Italy jewelery: North America, Middle East, South America, as well as Italian retailers. Oroarezzo also uses the Jewelery Golden Cloud, a digital platform prepared by Italian Exhibition Group and enhanced by an artificial intelligence system that facilitates targeted matching on fair days thanks to the detailed profiling of connected users.

The Oroarezzo king bracelet

The bracelet is back, a classic for gold jewelery. And Oroarezzo (7-10 May) brings together jewelry manufacturers focused on working with yellow metal. The event organized by Ieg in Arezzo returns after the pandemic break, proposing the Première competition, now in its 31st edition. The bracelet is one of the recurring themes: the last time it was the protagonist at Oroarezzio in 2017. The new edition of the competition Première will include jewels without limiting creativity: design, shapes, processes and dimensions will reflect the style and inspiration of each company.

Countdown to Oroarezzo (from 7 to 10 May), who after the covid must now deal with the uncertainties caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Thus, after the olive tree symbolically planted at the entrance to the fair that hosted Vicenzaoro in March, the concept will also be reaffirmed by the event scheduled in the Tuscan city. In fact, the set-up also includes in this case the trees that symbolize peace, the olive trees, at the entrance to Arezzo Fiere e Congressi.

Oroarezzo is back in attendance




Gold seen up close, after two years of pandemic emergency. From 7 to 10 May, in the pavilions of Arezzo Fiere e Congressi, Oroarezzo, the event dedicated to the Italian and international excellences of goldsmithing, organized by Ieg (Italian Exhibition Group), is back in attendance. This will be the 41st edition of the showcase dedicated to Italian and international goldsmith production, but also design and manufacturing.
