They are a real artist jewels the ones created by Mikky Eger, German moved to Milan with a studio laboratory- apartment in the creative Tortona area. Micro and macro sculptures with semiprecious stones wrapped around arm or fingers. Wherever dominates the nature’s theme expressed in many forms: the sea and its big waves are chasing each other in curves and spirals of pendants, earrings and necklaces for the New Wave collection, in silver and pink or yellow gold plated silver.

Shadows on the Milan Design Week. But they are shadows of jewelry. Virtual Shadows is the title of an event that sees the field artists and goldsmiths. In the same time of the Salone del Mobile, Virtual Shadows features the works of artists such as goldsmiths-Limodoro, Daniela Repetto, LuigiSalaGioielli, Mikky Eger, Marinella Inzirillo, Francesca Mazzotta, Vain, Emma Carrau Bueno, Miré by Renata Manganelli, in the Tortona26 area by Plano Storie, with Agalma Gallery and Gallery Rossini.
The galleries during Fuorisalone will host on display the works of some participants. In Agalma Gallery are housed the works of many goldsmiths, artisans and artists, Italians and foreigners. Partner of Virtual Shadows is the Goldsmith School Ambrosiana, which has two locations in Milan and one in Tokyo, a number of interesting jewelery courses, ranging from the creation of jewelery in precious metal to wax modeling, engraving and much more.

If you follow the design and you’re planning to take a trip to the Fuorisalone (April 14 to 19, from 10 to 19) for the Milan Design Week, take note of Shadows Wood & Jewellery. It is an event organized in Via Tortona 26 that sees combined gold and design, with the jewelry created by seven goldsmiths. What is new about the wedding with the design? It starts from lighting to Led, with play of shadows and lights, to enhance the design of the individual pieces. The goldsmiths: Mikky Eger tip of silver and stones researched, gold and precious gems to Luigisalagioielli, precious metals and gems for Il Laboratorio Orafo Cazzaniga Nobili, while emotions is the material that guides Antonella Ferrara, and the movement that of Alessandro Averla. Finally, passions and dreams with the jewels of Maria Luisa Palazzo, and soft shapes for those of Daniela Repetto. But where does the wood that makes up the title of the event?
