Beyoncé, Rihanna and Katy Perry with Messika

High jewelry and celebrity, a duo that recurs often. It was the same for Beyoncé, Rihanna and Katy Perry. All three protagonists of the entertainment world showed off jewels from the same Maison: Messika. In the first case, Beyoncé attended the Super Bowl LVI game in Inglewood, California, wearing high-end jewelery creations from the Parisian house, including the classic Flappers choker paired with the Shards Of Mirror necklace and Exotic Charm earrings.

Almost simultaneously, however, Rihanna performed at her Fenty Eau De Parfum event in Los Angeles. The celebrity-to-be chose three Messika diamond rings from the Wild Moon, Diamond Catcher and Exotic Charms High jewelry collections, to make her very bold look shine (with baby bump in sight). The American singer Katy Perry, on the other hand, participated in the NFL Honors wearing the Danseurs Aériens XXL earrings, combined with the high jewelery ring with Toi & Moi pear-cut diamonds.

Lady Gaga in Messika for House of Gucci

Lady Gaga‘s new life is tied to her character in the film in which she plays the instigator of a murder. The singer, in fact, is traveling around the world to present House of Gucci, the story that tells how Patrizia Reggiani, with the advice of a fortune teller and the help of a killer, had her husband, Maurizio Gucci, killed to pocket a mountain of money. And, of course, if the crime had not occurred today, the Gucci brand probably would have taken another path.

In any case, the occasion of the various red carpets also serves the American singer and actress to show off a fair number of dresses and great jewels. During the Los Angeles premiere, for example, Lady Gaga chose Messika Desert Bloom high jewelery earrings combined with the spectacular High Jewelry Diamond Spears necklace and the iconic My Twin Trio ring from the Parisian Maison founded by Valèrie Messika to complete her dress Golden Valentine.

Messika on the Paris catwalk

Paris fashion shows along with sparkling jewels. The historic Ritz Paris venue hosted an event by Valérie Messika and Kate Moss. It was the first high jewelery show of the Messika maison, which celebrated the collaboration between the French designer and the iconic top model. For this unique show, Valérie Messika and Kate Moss welcomed friends and celebrities, who have marked the history of the fashion house, such as Cardi B, who won at the 2019 Grammy Awards wearing Messika’s jewels; Toni Garrn, in Messika at the Cannes Film Festival; and the enigmatic Tina Kunakey, who wore Messika on many red carpets.

Gold, diamonds and celebrities at the Met Gala

After the fear of covid, despite the pandemic counting about 1600 deaths in the US in September 2021, the Met Gala in New York (canceled last year), one of the most important and famous events in the fashion world, is back. An evening that, as always, saw celebrities parading in designer clothes from great designers and wearing equally famous Maison jewels. The evening, it should be remembered, is an opportunity to raise funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the American city. The night’s theme, In America: A Lexicon of Fashion, inspired everything from the Matrix film series to the Statue of Liberty. Many jewels seen on the red carpet.

Gabrielle Union, an American actress, shone with the Diamond Spears necklace, a masterpiece of 70.88 carats of diamonds, associated with the Illusionnistes ring and the Wild Moon ring. And singer Chloé Bailey walked the red carpet in a full white suit and the sumptuous High Jewelry Roaring Diamond necklace, from the Paris est une Fête collection.

High jewelry dances with Messika

Dance step diamonds: Valérie Messika created 16 spectacular jewels in a collection that has been called Magnetic Attraction. High jewelery signed in Paris by the queen of diamonds, who selected white and yellow diamonds (plus one blue and one pink) with a preference for the pear cut. Although the Maison defines itself as RocksHighJewelry, they are not jewels to be worn lightly or, better, to be exhibited everywhere. The jewels play on contrasts, including XXL hoop earrings, yellow diamonds and completely original stone combinations.

The pieces make the most of the stones and to do this the Messika artisans have resorted to their best skill. Pear-cut diamonds, for example, balance themselves in the back to back ring or float in a delicate pas de deux. In short, the dance also gave the compositional inspiration, which is represented by the images of the dancer Fanny Sage immortalized by Benjamin Decoin. Not even one of the thematic elements that characterize the Maison is missing, namely the game of movement.

One of the most extraordinary pieces is a necklace with 16 pear-cut white diamonds of all sizes, with a large yellow stone of over 7 carats in the center. Pear-cut diamonds, also called tears of the gods, but in this case they are a deluge of over 38 total carats. The huge hoop earring made up of 10 fancy yellow diamonds for 37 carats in addition to eight white diamonds for 4 carats, all pear-cut, provokes the same astonishment.

Another significant piece is a ring called the Diamond Magnet, which turns out to be an updated version of the You & Me type. In this case, two pear-shaped yellow diamonds are opposed and divided by a row of small emerald-cut white diamonds. A metaphor for a back to back dance, which celebrates unity while preserving individuality. Another series of jewels, on the other hand, favors the combination of pear-cut diamonds with pink gold, also in this case with maxi earrings and rings that join the bracelet thanks to a line of pink gold with diamonds.

With Messika there are 297 bracelets in motion

/

In this moment in the world there are: a) great desire to get back to moving, b) great desire to show one’s personality, c) great interest in showing that you have your own personality. Messika, the queen of diamonds made in Paris, intercepts these ambitions with a new collection. Or, better, with a bracelet that renews the historic & iconic Move collection. The My Move bracelet has the dual purpose of adapting to the personality of the wearer and also being fun, like the collection from which it derives.

The first option is the result of the 297 combinations made possible by the nine motifs offered by the metal: white, pink or yellow gold, simple gold, gold with pavé and titanium (black, graphite, natural). All multiplied by 33 leather bracelets of different colors. And the leather bracelet is interchangeable. Obviously, the characteristic feature of the Messika Move collection is not lacking: the diamond that moves within the jewel and which is at the origin of the name of this line of jewelry designed by Valérie Messika.

A few opportunities to show off exceptional outfits and jewels remained. In recent days, for example, there have been three, almost simultaneously. In Paris, for example, the 46th ceremony of the Césars Prize, the French Oscars, took place. And it was an opportunity to show off some high jewelery signed by Messika, a Parisian Maison specializing in diamonds. Camélia Jordana, awarded Best Actress for a role in Les choses qu’on dit, les choses qu’on fait, wore a Calypso earcuff, associated with the two-fingered Danseurs Aériens ring.

The Golden Globe jewels

Among the victims of the covid pandemic there are also the red carpets on which actresses and models parade at festivals and galas. But at the Golden Globe Awards 2021, awards conferred by the 87 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to the protagonists of both American and international cinema and American television, some exceptional jewels were seen, despite the digital format of this edition. In short, jewels, yes, but seen through the home connection monitors.

A super ring (and more) for Messika’s Valentine’s Day

/

A super ring for Valentine’s Day. But not only: Messika has prepared her high jewelry for the longest day of lovers. But there is no doubt that the shiniest piece of the Maison founded by Valérie Messika is the Toi et Moi ring with its 7 and 3-carat heart-cut asymmetrical diamonds. The pair of diamonds is of a different color, fancy yellow and pink: two shades that are rare individually, but are even more exclusive when mounted in pairs on a ring and, moreover, with the rare heart cut. In short, a uncommon jewel.

The ring goes well with one of Messika’s most successful collections: My Twin. This collection, in fact, has been designed to unite opposites (as happens in couples). The jewels use, in fact, delicate but sensual pear cut stones, together with others with emerald cut. The two diamonds are used both for rings of the Toi et Moi type, and for earrings and necklaces. A high-end jewelry that seems to have been designed especially for Valentine’s Day.

Messika plays Kate Moss

/

The queen of diamonds together with the queen of models. That is Valérie Messika and Kate Moss. Together they made the revolution. Because the Messika brand, hitherto associated with high jewelery based on white gold and luxurious diamonds, is now transformed into something more complex. The high jewelry signed by the eternal Kate Moss changes the rules of the game and introduces not only new shapes, but also the freedom of color in the Parisian Maison. Kate suggested transgressions, Valérie translated wishes into drawings. The result is a wide range of jewels with innovative shapes, often oversized. The choices of the designer and the model have led to a breath of fresh air. The collaboration then was shooted on the lens of a famous Australian photographer, Chris Colls.

In any case, we cannot speak of a single collection, because Kate Moss’s signature on Messika’s jewels embraces completely different styles and sets. For example, Liberated Spirit is a rose gold and diamond set inspired by art deco and contemporary clothing, which includes tassel necklaces and ankle bracelets. Color Play, on the other hand, introduces new materials for the Maison, such as malachite, mother of pearl and turquoise on sumptuous plastron, XXL earrings, three-finger ring.

The Exotic Charm line, on the other hand, returns to the classic combination of white gold and diamonds with a design that recalls intricate arabesques, also in this case with intense necklaces and maxi earrings. Still: Spirited Wind collects jewels inspired by the shape of a feather created with diamonds, drawn with delicate and subtle lines. A compelling, asymmetrical movement makes brilliant and emerald cuts flutter. The set includes a three-finger ring.

Equally exceptional are the other lines resulting from the collaboration between Valérie Messika and Kate Moss: Released Sun, Twisted Wave, Bohemian Chic, Unchained Soul. In all there is an emerald-cut diamond, associated with yellow, white or pink gold. And in all of them shines the unique design of Messika, combined with the charming presence of Kate Moss.

The jewels of the Venice Film Festival 2020

The mask is not everything. On the red carpet of the Venice Film Festival number 77, jewels worn by big and small stars have reappeared. Naturally at a safe distance as required by the anti-pandemic measures. But the important thing is that the jewels can be admired, perhaps thanks to the snapshot of a photographer. And this is what happened on official occasions. Starting with Cate Blanchett, what a choice to preside over the jury, who exhibited a Pomellato choker necklace.

Dutch actress Lotte Verbeck, winner of several awards for best actress, preferred Damiani‘s jewels for the opening of the Venice Film Festival 2020. Lotte chose to wear the Sunset Boulevard earring with white and black diamonds and the Notte di San Lorenzo ring with white and black diamonds.

The Italian singer Elodie, on the other hand, together with a Versace dress has chosen the diamonds of the Parisian Maison Messika. In particular, she wore the famous My Twin multi-shaped earring, associated with the My Twin Toi & Moi bracelet and the Skinny bracelet. The Bergamo-based influencer Paola Turani, on the other hand, opted for the Calypso earrings from the Celestial Diamonds high jewelery collection and the Sea King bracelet by Once Upon a Time, also by Messika.

Among the celebrities on the red carpet also Cristiano Ronaldo’s girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez. For her, Pasquale Bruni‘s. Then, the necklace from the Lakshmi collection in 18-karat rose gold with pink chalcedony, moonstone and white diamonds. And, from the same collection, an 18-karat rose gold ring with pink chalcedony, moonstone and white diamonds. With the aim of capturing (virtually) non-young audiences, influencers such as Giulia De Lellis were also involved in the exhibition, she wore Salvini jewels: the Sparkling necklace in white gold and diamonds combined with the ring and the earrings in gold and diamonds emerald cut from the Magia mix & match collection with Battito tennis.

The high acrobatic jewelery by Messika

//

Valérie Messika, the queen of diamonds in Paris, always oscillates between two poles for her jewels: stones of great value and irreverent design. A combination that has upset the classic canons of high jewelery, often anchored in an unchanging style. The new collection, Voltige, also follows a philosophy that Messika describes as movement, balance and imbalance, symmetry and asymmetry. The images of the processing of the jewels, released by Maiason, confirm this description.

La lavorazione di un gioiello della collezione Voltige
La lavorazione di un gioiello della collezione Voltige

The collection includes 20 pieces which, according to the founder of the Maison, is also a return to origins. Voltige is a collection of high jewelery and, therefore, there is no shortage of very precious pieces. Like the Trapézistes ring, with a 10.19 carat pear fancy diamond set in a pentagon. Or the Danseurs Aériens hoop earrings, where a 5.06 carat emerald diamond and a 6.02 carat pear cut diamond coexist in a surprising balance. It is no coincidence that the jewelry line is called Voltige, the French word for circus stunts. The stones, in fact, seem to float in the air: thanks also to the Parisian artisans who managed to concretize the daring designs of the collection.

Voltige’s sense of freedom, on the other hand, is in Messika’s DNA, which at the debut became known with its jewelry with moving diamonds that move on tracks. And that many celebrities like them, such as Beyoncé, who wore a Messika necklace for the Superbowl, or Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez and Toni Garrn. All attracted by luxury combined with lightness: which is the true symbol of wealth.

Messika’s surprisingly luxurious earrings

Open your ears well and listen to the new verb: earrings can still surprise you and surprise those who look at you. Valérie Messika promises (and keeps) it. The Queen of Diamonds in Paris offers a breath of fresh air for the summer of 2020 regarding this type of jewel. Earrings are not the only surprising proposal from Messika, but they are certainly something that differentiates this Parisian jeweler specializing in diamonds from other Maison.

Orecchini XL Hoops. Con la loro cornice rotonda in oro, questi orecchini giocano sulla giustapposizione dei motivi My Twin. All'interno del centro dei cerchi, i diamanti con taglio a pera e smeraldo sono incastonati perfettamente uno accanto all'altro

First of all, Messika offers a long series of earrings that can be placed in different areas of the ears. Of course they can be worn individually, or together. On the lobe, on the upper part, in a circle, pendants, doubles, etc.: the earrings are in rose gold with single or pavé diamonds. There is also an extension from the Move collection, one of Messika’s first creations, where diamonds are free to move between the gold tracks of the jewel.

Or with My Twin, earrings in which Messika combines delicate pear-shaped diamonds with emerald cuts: the Hoop XL model has a large round gold frame, with alternating pear and emerald cut diamonds inside.

Messika in color with the Private Collection

The exceptional Private Collection by Messika fine jewelry also introduces colored diamonds ♦

She’s called Messika, but means diamonds. Valérie Messika has become in a few years the queen of the most loved gemstone in Paris. Her high jewelry collections are already legendary, like the recent Born to Be Wild, in which he combines extreme luxury with an informal, even country-style atmosphere.

But, for once, even Messika has moved to the other side of the Moon, the one with color. During the haute couture week in Paris he also paid tribute to the colored diamonds with different pieces in his Private Collection 2019. For example, with the Créoles M Rainbow earrings, made on 18-carat pink gold, with 16 colored diamonds of different cuts and colors, for a total of 6.018 carats, set on the edge of each earring. But there are also white diamonds, the trademark of Messika.

The collection also includes a Toi & Moi necklace with a pear-cut diamond on one side and an emerald-cut diamond on the other, as you can see from the preparation sketch. Messika has also added a Toi & Moi ring with two exceptional pear diamonds. They are jewels that are a real temptation. Like the Temptation necklace, with a magnificent intense radiant cut diamond in pink, balanced in the hollow of the choker in rose gold and white diamonds. An exceptional piece like the Desert Bloom ring, where another pear-shaped pink diamond stands out, surrounded by brilliant-cut and pear-cut diamonds: this is also a gem out of the ordinary, as often happens with Messika’s high-end jewelery . Diamonds in the Messika desert

The second part of Born to Be Wild high jewelry collection by Messika ♦

Valérie Messika continues his conquest of the West. After the great bang at Baselworld, the Born ti Be Wild collection enters again between canyons and western atmospheres with the delightful contrast of the maximum luxury in the maximum of nature without boundaries like that of the American deserts. The contrast is even greater when you consider that Messika chose Paris couture week to unveil the second part of its collection

Born to Be Wild embodies this pioneering lady, a conqueror with a sensual and libertarian attitude. Are you ready to mount your steed for this road trip ? Emotion and escapism guaranteed.
Valérie Messika

The second part of the Born to Be Wild collection also uses diamonds to make extraordinary jewels. On the other hand, it is a collection of high jewelry … For example, this necklace is inspired by the cowboy lasso: it is composed of 249 emerald cut diamonds. Diamonds form a luminous string, and in the center they come together to form the illusion of a sliding ring. In the crown of this lasso there are two natural cushion-cut yellow diamonds, one of 5.6 carats and the other of 7.5 carats. The series took 300 hours of work.

La collana ispirata a un lazo, con 249 diamanti taglio smeraldo. Oltre a due diamanti naturali taglio cuscino giallo, uno da 5,6 carati e l'altro da 7,5 carati

Or the jewels inspired by Saguaro, the name of the most famous American desert cactus. In this case the leaves are represented by marquise cut diamonds. Diamonds on the necklace, ring and earrings are worked in layers that overlap to increase volume. Some lines of marquise cut diamonds are highlighted by a delicate semi-circle of diamonds. The set is completed with two additional pieces: a ring that extends through the upper part of the hand and a pair of dangling earrings.
