One of the now classic Disney films could be titled Pandora: the Danish brand has for years had a partnership for the production of jewelry inspired by the characters of the great American entertainment company. However, 2023 is a special year: it is Disney’s 100th Anniversary. To celebrate the event, Pandora is launching a new special collection, with a series of charms inspired by the Disney century, already unveiled one by one over the course of the year and now reunited. Each limited edition piece is crafted in 925 sterling silver with 14K gold inlays. Not only that: a synthetic diamond, created in the laboratory, is set in each charm.

The first two jewels in the series are a Moments 100th Anniversary Disney bracelet, with the silhouette of Mickey Mouse ears as a closure and a pendant charm inspired by Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, the first animated character created by Walt Disney. In addition to the new jewels, Pandora has also created a Disney100 box, with spaces dedicated to the bracelet and all the charms in the collection.

There are those who dream of walking on a red carpet and those who dream of a flying carpet. In fact, dribbling traffic on a flying carpet would also be in tune with a green economy. And there are those who have made the dream come true, at least in the fairy tales of the Arabian Nights. Among those ancient Persian stories, that of Aladdin is perhaps the most famous. The fairy tale inspired, among other things, the animated film by Walt Disney, which now also magically turns into a Pandora bijoux collection. The novelties also serve to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the film Aladdin.

The charms of the Danish company are centered on the main characters of the story, such as Princess Jasmine and the Genie of the lamp. The silver pendant charm depicting Princess Jasmine, for example, is decorated with ice green crystals and is sold for 65 euros. The same price for the Genie is instead finished with glittery blue enamel and is connected to a pendant lamp, as if it had just been summoned, and for the flying carpet painted with colored enamel and finished with movable tassels fixed at each corner. Pandora and Disney are the stars of a film that has lasted for several years. The jewels of the Danish brand use the most famous characters or, as in this case, are linked to the promotion of the new Pixar film, a brand of the American group. In fact, a film centered on the character of Buzz Lightyear has arrived on the screens, the toy robot who made his debut back in 1995 in Toy Story. Pandora has decided to celebrate, one year in advance, the 30th birthday of the Disney animated film Beauty and the Beast, which premiered on the big screen on December 2, 1992. As always, the silver elements produced under Disney license are inspired by to characters or special movie moments. In addition to the pendants to add to bracelets and necklaces, moreover, the series also includes a ring with the enchanted rose, which in the film marks the time left for the beast to be able to break the spell of which it is victim: the silver jewel has at the center red cubic zirconia in the shape of a rose surrounded by curved branches and leaves with openwork processing and by three smaller red stones (59 euros).

The series also includes the main characters, as well as Belle and the beast, depicted in the dance scene, Mrs. Bric and Chicco. In the double pendant charm of Beauty and the Beast, on the other hand, the protagonists dance inside an openwork frame surrounded by roses decorated with man-made yellow crystals. The ballroom depicted on the background disc is painted with transparent yellow enamel applied by hand with the basso-taille technique. The hook features details of the rose in 3D (59 euros). The Disney Enchanted Pink pendant charm, on the other hand, features a transparent blue Murano glass dome with engraved stars, which encloses a carved rose with hand-applied red and green enamel details and colorless cubic zirconia stones (69 euros).

A new version of Disney bijoux is the one created by C&S Italy on behalf of the entertainment giant, with a new capsule collection, presented by Anna Falchi and her daughter Alyssa during the last Vicenzaoro.

Pendants, necklaces, earrings and bracelets are inspired by characters from Frozen, or Princess, Lilo and Stick, Star Wars and Mickey Mouse. Jewelery dedicated to children and anti-epidemic masks. Necklaces and pendants in gold and silver, but also displays for pharmacies. C&S is a company from Arezzo (Italy) that is really unlike from the others, because it is active in two alternative sectors, such as jewelry and pharma. But not only. The company was founded in 2018 on the initiative of Niccolò and Leonardo Borghesi with the aim of developing and marketing precious objects and watches in the accessible luxury segment in the international jewelry wholesale market. The district of Arezzo, no coincidence, is specialized in the jewelry sector. Result: in 2019 C&S was chosen, among various companies in the goldsmith sector, for the distribution of gold, silver and steel jewelry of 67 Disney brands.

The collections are inspired by the different Disney characters protagonists of comics and animated films, such as Mickey and Friends, Princess, Frozen. Four new charms Disney for Pandora

The Disney license agreement expands the family of characters transformed into Pandora charms. These are four new charms to add to bracelets and necklaces. The first depicts the Lilo and Stitch family, taken from the 2002 animated film. The pendant is hand finished and made of silver. Lilo’s dress is painted with red enamel applied by hand and completed with leaf-shaped details in relief, while Stitch’s ear is painted with purple enamel. On the back is the engraving Family means no one gets left behind.

The Dumbo charm (the 2019 film is a reinterpretation of the original 1941 one) is made with the same materials: the elephant wears a ruffled collar and its iconic hat, painted with yellow enamel applied by hand, with silver details. The third Disney charm is the Winnie the Pooh Birthday Pendant. The teddy bear born in 1925 and revived on the big screen in 2011, wears a hat and shirt painted with blue and red enamel applied by hand. The rear disc is engraved with HapBee Birthday, with a jar of honey on the other side. Finally, the charm Lady, a sweet cocker spaniel that made its cinema debut in 1955. Mickey and Minnie, Donald and Daisy: the two pairs of cartoon characters (and comics) now also arrive in the Stroili house. The Italian brand, which has been part of the French group Thom Europe for four years, has signed an agreement with Disney for the use of the characters on necklaces, earrings, necklaces and bracelets (currently there are no rings in the collection). The result is the Disney Mickey & Friends Collection by Stroili line, with a series of bijoux that faithfully reproduce the design of the famous mice and ducks.

The bijoux are made of pink steel, with the addition of rhinestones, while the black colored parts are probably silk-screened on the metal. The prices of the items in this collection remain anchored downwards, as the company’s marketing always provides. Pandora’s collaboration with Disney continues. After the first charms with Mickey Mouse, Minnie and the characters of several Disney cartoons, eight other charms arrive which, in this case, represent the first direct collaboration between the Danish brand and the toy designers of the Californian giant. The two companies designed the stylized subjects together, selecting some of the most iconic Disney characters, which now become elements for modular jewelry.

The characteristics and traits of the characters have been reproduced in the design of each of the charms. These are Minu of the Aristocats, Nemo, Mickey and Minnie, Pluto, Stitch and Alice’s Cheshire Cat still return to Wonderland. Winter is frozen for Roberto Coin. The Italian brand has decided to get on the sequel to the animated film Frozen with a special collection. Presented in the USA, the collection is called Disney x Roberto Coin Frozen 2 and includes pendants, earrings, rings and bracelets obviously inspired by the main characters of the film and, more generally, the theme of snow and ice. In short, most of the pieces can be worn even without a connection to the film being immediate. Even though it is linked to the launch of the film’s sequel to the film, therefore, it is not a collection of simple bijoux, as in similar combinations between jewelery and film marketing.

One of these options is represented by the collection proposed by Pandora in collaboration with Disney and inspired to the reign of Frozen. Frozen is a 2013 animated film directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, freely inspired by the fairy tale of Hans Christian Andersen The Queen of the Snow. In this case Pandora has translated into jewels the story, with a collection made of 925 sterling silver and cubic zirconia. The dresses of Elsa and Anna, protagonists of history, become brighter with the charms that portray Olaf and reproduce the crystals of the reign of Arendelle.
