Jewels and watches at the Oscars

The red carpet of the Oscars, which this year was champagne-colored, that is yellow, gave as always a parade of big and small actresses with their jewels. It is worth mentioning a counter-current choice, that of the model Ashley Graham, who attended the 95th Academy Awards with Pandora Timeless and Pandora Diamonds jewels. In short, not a high jewelery maison, but a very popular brand, and moreover with synthetic diamonds.

But it was an unusual choice. Most of the participants opted for fine jewellery. The Parisian Maison Messika has enlisted a small army of actresses for its jewels: Danai Gurira, in a purple dress, with the Little Mermaid High Jewelery earrings and the Toi & Moi pear-shaped diamond ring, Camila Mendes in a vintage Versace dress, with Concorde ring and Roaring diamonds, Poorna Jagannathan with My Twin rings, the Move Uno multi-bracelet and the My Twin trio earrings. British actress Jodie Turner Smith also wears Messika jewels, with the Messika ring by Kate Moss High Jewelry Spirited Wind and Kris Jenner with a super Roaring Diamonds necklace and Little Mermaid earrings.

Yeprem diamonds, on the other hand, were Jurnee Smollett’s choice at the Vanity Fair party, with earrings by the Lebanese Maison. As well as Jenna Dewan, with diamond earrings and Natalia Bryant at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. Tiffany jewels, however, for Lady Gaga, Florence Pug, Michelle Williams. From the Italian Maison Pasquale Bruni, the jewels of the actress and singer Dove Cameron at the Elton John Aids’s Foundation Academy Award Party: Choker from the Daughter of Flowers Collection in white gold and diamonds.

But there was also room for men, often associated with fine watches. This is the case, for example, of Jon Kortajarena with Hublot’s Orlinski Titanium White Pavé 40MM watch, as well as Zachary Levi, who opted for the 40mm Classic Fusion Orlinski King Gold timepiece also from Hublot.

Yeprem’s Couture jewels

If you still think that wearing jewelry is the same as putting a ring on your finger, wearing earrings, showing off a necklace or surrounding your wrist with a bracelet, you are left behind. The world is running and jewelry is evolving, even the high-end one. Proof of this is Yeprem, a high jewelery Maison that has long since embarked on a new path, as in its Couture line. Alongside traditional jewels, Yeprem proposes compositions of white gold and diamonds that embrace parts of the body with unusual shapes and aesthetic effect. They are defined as “jewels for the hand” in the case of pieces intended to cross the back and appear on the palm.

As for the earrings, even Yeprem has chosen to evolve them into one of the many new shapes that have met the favor of the public. And bracelets are no longer just a circle that is worn at the end of the wrist, but jewels that snake around the arm and hand, with surprising autonomy. The jewels also increase the sensation of movement thanks to the dual choice of diamond cut, brilliant and marquise.

Where Yeprem dares

//

Dare to be Yeprem. The idea of the Lebanese Maison specializing in dizzying diamond jewelry pays tribute to female emancipation with the intention of satisfying pride and shedding light on the women they choose to inspire and empower. This, at least, is the starting point. The arrival one is made up of a series of jewels with unpredictable paths, as if to symbolize the tortuous path that a woman must take to reach the destination.

Whether they are symbols or not, the series of high jewelry called Dare to be Yeprem includes a series of rings-bracelets that follow the shape of the hand, adapting to the volume of the wrist and fingers. They are like diamond tendrils that envelop the body and sparkle with an unprecedented effect, impossible to ignore. The line is completed by Claw (we have already talked about it here): an unprecedented (and a little aggressive) jewel that is worn on the palm of the hand and is admired on the back.

A cascade of diamonds with Yeprem

There are Maison that have been offering the same jewels for decades. Legitimate. But there are others that amaze with special effects. And they really are very special when it comes to fine jewelry. One of these brands is Yeprem, born in Beirut, but active on the international market with jewels that challenge even a sheikh’s bank account. In particular, Yeprem is famous for its diamond jewelry. And they are jewels that often break the mold, as evidenced by the new pieces presented at the same time as the Paris Couture week.

A jewel undoubtedly out of the ordinary is the Claw ring. Forget the classic diamond ring: this is a real claw with five bands of gold covered with diamonds that sparkle on the back of the hand. A jewel with an aggressive design. On the contrary, the Crown tiara suggests a romantic and, inevitably, luxurious atmosphere. Among the new proposals for high jewelery there is also a necklace with diamonds and emeralds with a collar. Also in this case the jewel suggests a classic and refined feeling thanks to the 1341 precious stones used, of which 52.98 carats of round cut diamonds, 30.43 marquise cut diamonds, in addition to the 4.93 carat emerald. Jewels that also enchanted Jennifer Lopez, who performed on stage with Yeprem jewels during the special concert for the film she stars in, Marry Me.

Skin is friendly with Yeprem’s diamonds

The luxury of a bracelet with diamonds and precious stones, combined with the enveloping comfort of a leather strap, with the traditional clasp used for watches. Yeprem has decided to focus everything on wearability for its Leathership collection. The Maison born in Lebanon, but distributed all over the world, from the US to Russia, passing through Austria and Canada, is famous for its sumptuous diamond-based jewels. But jewels cannot always be worn without thinking about how many hours they will be in contact with your skin.

Here, then, is the Leathership collection, which communicates a unique touch to everyday luxury. The bracelets combine genuine leather, smooth, engraved or woven, with precious stones mounted on white gold. The straps have different colors, in harmony with stones such as emerald and tanzanite, or white for the diamond-only bracelet. Prices range from $ 9,900 to $ 14,800 for the emerald bracelet with 27 marquise diamonds.

Galloping diamonds with Chevalier collection by Yeprem

///

Chevalier, i.e. knight. It is a term that is used, in jewelry, to indicate noble rings, those with a often flat surface and which once bore the family crest engraved. In French, actually, these rings are called a little differently: chevalière. But for Yeprem, a Maison specializing in high jewelery made with an avalanche of diamonds, Chevalier is simply the name of a collection that includes rings, bracelets and earrings for women who have a very rich flesh and blood chevalier available, or have a big bank account. It is high jewelry, beauty.

But it is also a way of interpreting luxury that does not like to hide the amount of stones used. Diamonds, mainly with marquise or brilliant cut, form cascades of gems that cover an ear, or the wrist and fingers. Certainly jewels to show off on important occasions and in complete safety. Maybe arm in arm with a chevalier.

Yeprem’s rebellious luxury earrings

Yeprem, Lebanese Maison specializing in high diamond-based jewelry, introduces Beyond Limits, earrings with a tendency to show spectacularity. In fact, these great jewels with clusters of stones that form elaborate geometries do not go unnoticed. A line that Yeprem defines exceptional, exaggeration and excess with over-size creations. They are jewels perfectly in line with the limitless style of the Maison in Beirut, which boasts customers all over the world: many diamonds, large sizes, no fear of hiding luxury.

Always according to the jewelry brand, these earrings evoke rebellious women to unite and celebrate the beauty of diversity. In fact, the Beyond Limits line includes jewelry that is difficult to miss when worn, although it is difficult to call it a symbol of rebellion. But could be the wallet which become a rebel: the earrings have a price ranging from 29,800 to 42,500 dollars.

Reign Supreme, diamonds on the throne with Yeprem

///

Among the high jewelry collections of Yeprem, Reign Supreme occupies a particular place. It is, in fact, one of those that has achieved the greatest success, so much so that the Lebanese Maison always offers new unique pieces. But describing the Reign Supreme collection simply as jewels made up of diamonds and precious stones is an understatement. In fact, Yeprem is a jewelry company also famous for its original composition: design is certainly a characteristic feature of the Maison and the Reign Supreme collection is no exception.

In this type of jewelry even the simplest ring is not simple. Diamonds of different cuts, marquise, pear, round, are assembled in a dreamlike design, which often occupies a large part of the skin: elaborate earrings that cover the lobes, double or triple rings, jewels that extend all over the hand. Diamonds, interspersed with emeralds and sapphires, are also the protagonists in the Reign Supreme collection. In fact, they are the true rulers of high jewelery, as Yeprem knows well.

An electric shake with Yeprem

//

The Lebanese Maison Yeprem presents the Electrified collection, inspired by the electric circuits ♦ ︎

An electrifying jewelry collection. It is the one presented by Yeprem at VicenzaOro. The Lebanese Maison which is celebrated all over the world and famous for its Thousand and One Nights diamond jewels, with the Electrified collection has chosen to propose modern shapes and combine white gold with pink gold. Of course with diamonds that add points of light to the pieces. Not only: the shape of the jewelry itself is, in a sense, electrifying. Acute angles and straight lines sometimes seem to allude to small lightning strikes. In short, a very modern jewelery set and inspired, explains the Maison, by electric circuits.

Anello in oro rosa e diamanti

The Electrified collection is a small revolution in the style of Yeprem, which usually offers jewels with more rounded lines. The history of the Maison dates back to 1964, when Yeprem Chakardemian, Lebanese of Armenian origin, was inspired by a gold bracelet given by his mother. At 15, Yeprem already created jewelery pieces: the beginning of a story that continues with the second generation of the family.

The 12 designers of VicenzaOro September

The 12 jewelers which will be in the Design Room at VicenzaOro September. Among the new entries Tomasz Donocik and Yeprem. Stephen Webster is also coming ♦ ︎

Ieg, the company that organizes VicenzaOro, has observed the lesson of Baselworld: communicating and avoiding a precipitous decline. Right, then, that promotes itself well in advance and proves to be alive and well. Indeed, with interesting news. For example, those concerning the Design Room, the space dedicated to fanciful and deserving jewelers’ boutiques. A formula which, among other things, it has been replicated in other exhibitions.

Here, then, the first novelties of VicenzaOro September, which this year is anticipated from 7 to 11 September. The Design Room, located inside the Icon pavilion, will complement some of the most important international innovations with appearances now consolidated in Vicenzaoro such as Marie Mas, Lydia Courteille and Alessio Boschi. Among these, also Tomasz Donocik, a Polish designer who lives and works in London, already named Jeweler of the year in the United Kingdom: we have written about him other times on gioiellis.com. Stylistically very contemporary, with a language that speaks to a sophisticated and mature public, he works in an artisanal way, exclusively in 18-carat gold, pink or white, use the best precious stones and has succeeded over time to innovate while respecting the harmony of forms.
Alessio Boschi

Also Yeprem, a Lebanese designer famous for his diamond creations, and the Greek Lefteris Margaritis will also be present in the Design Room. Sicis, Mattia Cielo and Alessa Jewelry are also back. Finally, the presences of Eclats Jewelry, Cedille Paris and Netali Nissim are planned, with its iconic collection of prêt-à-porter talismans.

Yeprem on the good Strada

The Pink Strada collection by Yeprem, diamond jewelry specialist ♦ ︎
“Inspired by a golden bracelet bestowed by his mother, which was intended to provide him and his family a brighter future, Lebanese born of Armenian descent Yeprem Chakardemian established his own jewellery brand in 1964.” The story of the Beirut Maison, which has become famous all over the world especially for its diamond jewels, is so talked about. Since then Yeprem has gained fame, honors and a solid awareness of being among the leading brands in this kind of jewelery. But of course, over time he has been able to renew himself: not just classic jewelry in white gold and diamonds, but also variations such as the Pink Strada collection, in which next to marquise cut diamonds is the pink gold to be highlighted. The metal is machined in different ways: shiny, with reflexes that make the play with diamonds, or satin, to further enhance the light that crosses the stones. Even the shape, between curves and concave volumes, add personality to the Pink Strada collection. Alessia Mongrando

Yeprem at the source of youth

Yeprem launches Celebkidz, a collection of jewelery in pink gold and diamonds for children ♦
A diamond is the best friend of a woman: hyperbola, though dated, retains some truth. But for a little girl? Gifting precious jewelery under the age of 13 may seem too much. But not for everyone is so. There are the rich kids, young boys and girls who live in luxury with their parents money. And then why not start right away? In the end, giving a precious jewel to a child can also be a small investment for the future. How to put money into a piggy bank.
It is the idea of Yeprem, Lebanese jeweler who makes of diamonds his flag, his philosophy and his fortune. Specialized in rich rings or bracelets that wrap their hand, in white gold and diamonds, he designed a collection dedicated to particularly fortunate little girls. It’s called Celebkidz. A small diva, instead of stealing jewels to the mother to peep into the mirror, can wear bracelets and pink gold earrings and diamonds with marquise cut or pear. And she’s ready for a red carpet. The brilliant minutes with Yeprem

The bracelets-watch by Yeprem: the brand famous for diamonds also counts the time ♦
Half a century ago, inspired by a gold bracelet given from her mother, the Lebanese-Armenian Yeprem Chakardemian founded the jewelry brand that bears his name. It was 1964. Having learned the art of jewelry, he has decided to make jewelery art. After he was apprentice, then jeweler, he showed his Maison around the world thanks largely jewels with white diamonds, and the company is managed now by the second generation of the family, with Loutfic Chakardemian. As often it happens, at some point in their lives the greats Maison of jewelry expanding their services with the proposal of watches-jewels.
So Yeprem presented at Baselworld Y-Momento. Five rich bracelets with a timepiece in the middle. But they are more jewels than watches: four are made of white gold, one with pink gold. Plus a large number of diamonds. Two models: Majestic White has automatic winding and white diamond marquise and round cut and 18 carat white gold. The Midnight Marvel line has smaller dimensions. Prices: the Yeprem bracelets-watches range from $ 20,000 up to 100,000. The Yeprem motto has always been: «Be the change you want to see in the world». The time for change has now a new time. Yeprem in the palm of one’s hand

Yeprem uses only colorless diamonds set in white gold or platinum, the classic of classics. Yet from the Lebanese brand you can expect anything but a traditional jewel. In fact, the design is very unusual, a combination of oriental inspiration, the shape of a snake for necklaces, for example, or variations on the theme of the hand bracelet, with sharp sparkling spikes and high jewelry cuts. It all started 50 years ago in Beirut when Yeprem Chakardemyan opened his own shop, a small family business that over time has become an international brand, but it all changed in 2012 when the son of Chakardemian, Loutfic, took over the artistic direction and marked a turning point literally fierce. In fact, in no time the very popular brand in the Middle East has achieved great success in the US with a collection named Claw, creeping between and around the fingers to decorate the hand and shine on Rihanna, Madonna and Jennifer Lopez.

It’s no coincidence that Yeprem is located in the best department stores such as Neiman Marcus, Harvey Nichols and Bergdorf Goodman and last year it has also won the Couture Design Awards, in the category People’choice: people like its hand bracelet Ararad of Y-Conic collection (https://gioiellis.com/i-14-vincitori-degli-oscar-del-gioiello). At the latest Baselworld edition, where compared to previous years colorless diamonds were going stronger than fancy-coloured ones, Yeprem featured a mesmerizing Firework necklace of the Y-Not Collection, with round  and marquise cut diamonds, snake shaped on on one side and the other slowly enlarge to expand as fireworks, precisely. Flowers bloom, with round , pear and marquise cuts in the triple rings of Y-Not Smart collection, or in white gold to wear in mid finger as flakes. And for a royal hand there is the crown style.
