The tinyOm jewelry: 18K gold and Bahraini pearls ♦ ︎

TinyOm founder Virginie Dreyer, a former lawyer in Paris, defines her business as “jewelery for the Soul”. In short, jewels for the spirit, more than for vanity. As, moreover, the name of the small Maison indicates, which incorporates the suffix om, a Tibetan mantra inspired by the creation of the universe. Virginie moved to the Middle East for family reasons, studied graphics and design and, attracted by the goldsmiths and crafts of Bahrain, her adopted country, she began to create jewelry. She is passionate about yoga, which she practices and teaches, as well as inspiring her jewelry.

The small 18-karat gold threads that make up the jewels are combined with small Bahraini pearls, which for Tiny Om “are the rarest and most exceptional for their unique nature: they are born where fresh water springs burst into the salty water of the sea, acquiring an extraordinary brightness thanks to this unusual contrast ”. Rare, in short, but not excessively, given that the tinyOm jewels have prices that do not exceed $ 700.

A mantra in pink gold

It is easy to wonder why it did not come first: a collection called Om Mantra is a natural choice for a brand like TinyOm. Let us remember you: Virginie Dreyer, founder of TinyOm, after working as a lawyer in Paris, she moved to Bahrain where she fell in love of goldsmith art of East. She decided to combine passion and western style with the philosophy and taste of India and the Middle East. This collection, made it known, is proposed for the International Yoga Day, June 21. For the uninitiated, the mantra Om is a formula repeated in prayer and song, spread Hinduism and Buddhism. Om also has a symbol, what you see reproduced in the collection consists of rings, bracelets and pendants, available in rose gold or white gold set with a discreet diamond. For devotees to Eastern philosophies and religions of the mantra Om symbol, it represents the unity between the physical and the spiritual state, but in this case it seems rather a tasteful ornament occidentale.Tutte the TinyOm creations are handcrafted in the home laboratories Al Zain in Bahrain, founded in 1930. Doing yoga with TinyOm

The Chakra is a concept born in India, among yoga and Ayurvedic medicine. Originates in the tantric traditions, Hinduism is both in Buddhism. It is commonly regarded as a vital center and indicates the elements of the body where it should reside divine energy. Prerequisite to explain the Chakra collection, designed by Virginie Dreyer, the founder of TinyOm. A brand that is inspired by yoga and the scent of the Orient. And to say that the designer was a lawyer in Paris. Then, for family reasons, it moved to the Middle East, in Bahrain. There, where she still lives, she studied graphic design, drawn from goldsmith and local artisans. At the same time, however, it is passionate about yoga. The result is a series of jewelry with a value and a symbolic meaning. The latest collection of TinyOm is precisely Chakra. Each sign transformed into jewel has its own meaning: Units, Tranquility, Love, Creativity, Confidence, et cetera. But, be careful: it is not sure that putting on a symbol active automatically the desired chakras. Rudy Serra
