3D Jewelry made in gold 14 carat? This is what Shapeways offers its customers (only in U.S.) by Spring and Wonder. And it does so through a process that is a mix of old and new techniques combined together. How it works: as for all other materials, namely silver, brass, bronze and steel, we start from the drawing. Which takes the form of wax with a 3D printer with high resolution. The next step is to put the model in a container where it is poured liquid plaster. When the plaster settles, the wax is dissolved with heat and remains a mold which is subsequently filled with molten gold. Signature collection by Pandora for summer 2018: images and prices ♦ ︎

When a brand becomes famous, it can allow itself to transform its logo into an icon, that is, in a graphic element that has value in itself. In short, it becomes a decoration, a pictogram. This is the case of Pandora, which with the Signature line emphasizes the choice of its brand: the writing is, in fact, clearly visible in jewels, composed of classic modular bracelets with removable clasps, rings, earrings and necklaces with reversible pendants.
The jewels are made with the three metals that have long been used by Pandora: Sterling Silver, Pandora Rose and Pandora Shine, that is Sterling Silver plated with 18k gold. Prices: a simple silver bracelet (without charms) costs 59 euros, with a sliding door it goes up to 149 euros, a yellow gold plated ring costs 59 euros, while a necklace with a 179 euros pendant. The monkeys by Bibi van der Velden: luxury and irony walk together ♦ ︎

Bibi van der Velden has become famous for jewelry fans who love innovation also for the use of unusual materials such as mammoth tusks or scarab wings. But also for a subtle irony that surrounds a very innovative design. These two qualities, irony and design, are found in the Monkey collection. In fact, the collection is presented as follows: “Monkeys are among the most entertaining and intelligent animals on Earth, representing fun and flexibility. We never get enough of these fascinating species and their beloved bananas and we could not think of a better inspiration for our new jewelry designs.” In short, monkeys and bananas are really cheerful elements.
But you should not underestimate the more technical aspect: the bananas are made by working lemon quartz, the palm leaves are of green tsavorite, while the monkeys are in 18-carat rose gold and silver, with brown and white diamonds. Prices: almost 3000 euros for the simplest earrings, over 6000 for pendants with bananas up to over 11000 euros for the ring. In any case, luxury and fun can be together: it’s a good idea. And if the proposal was double? Euphoria would be even stronger. And with the Euforia collection by Salvini, the doubling is assured. The collection, in fact, presents a series of double-band jewels in gold and diamonds. A wedding ring, proposed in the white gold version or in the combination of white and pink gold nuances, has a play of full and empty spaces. The doubling does not stop at the rings, but is repeated in the pendant of the necklace, a heart, or the hoop earrings in white gold, or white and pink.
