The snakes by Ole Lynggaard

/

In Paris Ole Lynggaard presented three pieces of high jewelery. A surprise for the Danish brand, which focuses on design for its jewels that have a very extensive price range. The three high-end solitaires are crafted with fancy vivid yellow diamonds. For these pieces too, design remains the fundamental trace, as it is in the tradition of the house. The new jewels are also a way to celebrate a near milestone, the 60th anniversary of the Maison.

The Danish company, in fact, was founded in 1963 by Ole Lynggaard and his wife Karin, and immediately proposed jewels in 18-karat gold and sterling silver, with white diamonds or large gems with intense shades, as in the classic Snake collection. . Today Charlotte Lynggaard is the jewelry designer, while her husband Michel Normann is chief commercial officer. The two, among other things, lived in Paris for three years before returning to Copenhagen: the presentation of the new rings, in short, also marked the return to a city they know well.a

Ole Lynggaard for springtime

The Blooming, the spring collection signed by the Danish Ole Lynggaard ♦ ︎
Among the boast of Copenhagen there is also a magnificent tradition in jewelry. And in the tradition of jewelry Ole Lynggaard is one of the brands with greater story, ability and refinement. And it’s also a big family. That’s why: the Maison was founded in 1963 by designer and jeweler Ole Lynggaard, who brought his experiences from the world: he studied e traveled in Germany, Germany, Paris, New York, San Francisco, Japan. Back in Denmark, he bought a small workshop. The activity continued with her daughter, Charlotte Lynggaard, also a goldsmith and designer like her father: she joined the company in 1987. Subsequently she was joined by Søren Lynggaard, also son of Ole Lynggaard, who is now leading the brand. It’s not enough: Charlotte Lynggaard’s husband, Michel Normann, has also become top-level manager, while Hanna Lynggaard, wife of Søren Lynggaard, has been part of the company’s sales team since 2008. But there are not only Lynggaards : the jewelry company has over one hundred employees.
Given this, here is the Blooming Collection, dedicated to spring. It has a design that the brand defines between Art Nouveau and Art Deco, perhaps with a preponderance of the floral style, which in fact gives the name to the collection. The Blooming collection includes rings and bracelets open in the form of stems of plants and flowers, in 18-carat gold, with aquamarine buds, red coral and sparkling diamond pavé. It was designed personally by Charlotte Lynggaard. Lavinia Andorno

Ole Lynggaard, the North Wind

Ole Lynggaard, with Shooting Stars collection the north wind blows on lightness ♦
It is wrong to exchange Denmark, one of the leading countries in jewelry manufacturing, to a place where you plan only bijoux modulars, or at least at a low price. Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen is, instead, a company that offers good quality jewelry, a higher level. The designer, Charlotte Lynggaard, presented in 2017 a number of new collections, under the common name of Atelier. All using soft colors, with materials such as moonstone, yellow gold, pearls, diamonds, bone, smoky quartz, red coral. Among these collections, proposed at Baselworld, there is also one called Shooting Stars, rather wide. The jewels are very discreet, lightweight, with chains that certainly does not weigh on the arm and neck, long dangling earrings and, of course, little stars composed of five diamonds.
The company was established by the goldsmith and jewelry designer Ole Lynggaard in 1963. Today it is run by his sons, Charlotte Lynggaard (designer) and Søren Lynggaard (Ceo), together with a team of 130 employees, including 45 goldsmiths. The company philosophy claimed Scandinavian origins, but is now active in several European countries. Margherita Donato

Debut in Basel for the Danish Ole Lynggaard with the new collection Golden with shades of gold, as the name suggests.
