A jewel by Mish? Why Knot?

//

After 30 years in New York, Mish Tworkowski moved to Florida, in Palm Beach. Nothing is better than the sun and the sea for the inspiration of this designer who was often inspired by the natural world and exotic travels. But without forgetting the classic jewelery motifs, as in the Why Knot collection? A name that adds a touch of humor that is always a pleasure: lightness is also synonymous with intelligence. And the Maison Mish uses the knot in a pleasant way, with gold jewels that have a twisted rope profile, that is formed by several threads together.

The result is pleasing: original jewelry without being bizarre, with the color of the subtropical sun. In addition to gold and a few diamonds, for this collection Mish also uses rich rows of pearls, even of different types combined together. Perhaps it is also the result of the previous experiences of the jeweler, who worked as a specialist at Sotheby’s in New York and London, in contact with magnificent vintage jewels put up for auction. But, as mentioned, Mish Tworkowski also loves nature very much, so much so that he collaborates with the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach and the New York Botanical Garden where he sits on the Board of Trustees. And on his website he does not fail to list his five favorite gardens. It has nothing to do with jewelry, but if you are curious, here they are:

2. Great Dixter House & Gardens
3. Iford Manor Gardens
4. Pan’s Garden ~ The Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach

Mish’s fine jewels

A jewelry brand known (perhaps) more for boutique furnishings is a rare case. But it’s the story of Mish, in New York. The boutique is located at 30 Bond Street in the Noho Historic Landmark District. It has no jewelry in the window: the founder and designer, Mish Tworkowski, prefers that the boutique is known by a few exclusive customers through word of mouth. The boutique has a purple door and an exquisitely decorated interior designed by Mish’s partner, architect Joseph Singer.

An environment that often ends up on the pages of Robb Report, Vogue or Town & Country. Mish opened his store about ten years ago, after studying art history and fine arts in the United States and England, and training at Sotheby’s. The designer also declares a passion for gardening and eighteenth-century watercolors. In short, Mish is an atypical jeweler. Oh yeah, and the jewels? Obviously there is no shortage of flower-shaped gold jewels. But the New York designer also uses pearls a lot. Refined jewels, in harmony with the environment in which they are sold.

With Mish it snows gold

The snow turns into jewelry with the Snowflake collection by Mish. And they do not dissolve … ♦

Do you like the snow, and you considered the ice crystals as the jewels? Here’s what you need: the Snowflakes collection by newyorker jeweler Mish. The collection, it seems, was inspired by a snow storm in Colorado. The jewelry are snowflakes shape and made of gold white, yellow, pink and blackened, and even feathers.

They are jewels that, as the snow, are transformed: they can be worn in different ways. For example, they can may be pins, necklaces (on a silk ribbon) or become the ornament of a bracelet. The designer, Mish Tworkowski, says that “The snowflake is a symbol of beauty, purity and tranquility.” But, in this case, it is also a symbol of economic means: each snowflake is numbered.
