Hemmerle’s precious plugs

The Maison of Monaco of Bavaria, Hemmerle, has a long history which we have already talked about here. Now the German brand, one of the most appreciated in the world, is in New York to pay tribute to a piece of jewelry that has made famous Hemmerle. The history of this jewelry began in 1995, when the jeweler receives a commission for a ring from a family friend: with diamond, but also made in iron. The result is amazing and the contrast between the rough metal and the bright stone becomes an icon. Hemmerle since then continues his ride in the design of contemporary jewelery, and even once again, this year, the black iron with white diamonds, as in the case of a pair of earrings that seem surrounded by thorns. A little ‘punk, but luxurious. Or the ring, also in iron and cushion cut diamonds that seem to float within their facilities. In short, great contrast, refinement mediated by the use of raw materials. After all, it is the way many people imagine Germany: rigor immersed in the poetry of Goethe and the Beethoven’s music. Hemmerle, luxury with aluminum

Hemmerle, one of the biggest names in jewelry Made in Germany (https://gioiellis.com/novemberfest-con-hemmerle) is truly amazing. This time it prepared a collection called The [AL] Project. For those unfamiliar with the periodic table of elements (review the chemistry classes, please) Al is the aluminum symbol. Metal that instead of the airplanes this time pots and hulls is used for 15 pairs of earrings and a brooch. The jewelry is inspired by nature, including flowers and fruits. But, of course, the jewels are not only compounds with aluminum. Along with the most common metal there are precious stones such as diamonds, sapphires, aquamarines and garnets, along with the classic gold. The choice of aluminum, however, is not accidental: it is a light, solid, resistant and with a glorious story (in the past was considered valuable). As explained Christian Hemmerle, “malleability has allowed us to focus on innovation and creating complex works, delicate in design but very durable”. Among other things, the use of metal is combined with a refined choice in the color palette, which echoes the nature of violet and shades ash. Giulia Netrese
