Rocca (Damiani) in Taormina and Naples

For some time the Damiani Group has been paying attention to its network of shops as to the production of jewels. The relocation to Taormina and a new opening in Naples of the Rocca jewelers, which are part of the Valenza group, fit into this strategy.
The new store in Taormina (Messina, Sicily) is located in Corso Umberto, the shopping street in the historic centre, and features large exhibition spaces, with a new corner reserved for Damiani jewels, alongside those of Salvini and the Venini creations (Venetian glassware purchased years ago by Chimento), as well as designer watches, such as Rolex and Tudor. Taormina is a tourist town, where a famous festival also takes place in the summer.

The new boutique in Naples is located in via Filangieri, one of the shopping streets. Inside the jewelry store, in addition to the creations of Damiani and Salvini, watches by brands such as Cartier, Panerai and Iwc are displayed in dedicated corners, brought back to the city after several years. Also in this store there is a Venini area, as well as a watchmaking workshop.
With the relocation of Taormina and the opening of Naples, the chain is therefore still pushing on the distribution for luxury jewelery and watches.

With Cartier, luxury passes through Istanbul

More than 37 million passengers passed through the Istanbul airport in 2021. In 2022 there will be many more. The international airport has become the busiest airport in Europe and the second largest airport in the world in terms of international passenger traffic. It is therefore no surprise that Cartier has decided to open a super boutique right at the Istanbul airport. There is also a geopolitical reason. With the stop of business in Russia, due to the war in Ukraine, the tourism of the Moscow upper class passes through the Middle East. And it makes a stop in the main Turkish city.

Cartier then played his game. It has partnered with the duty free company to open the brand’s largest independent retail boutique. The boutique is located in a special area of Istanbul airport, Luxury Watches & Jewelery Zone, together with the flagship stores of Bvlgari, Bottega Veneta, Céline, Dior, Fendi, Gucci, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Prada and Saint Laurent. The Cartier store expands to 130 square meters and has a very visible design, with a 12 meter high facade, designed with three-dimensional light elements that shine like gold. A style that should appeal to customers from the Middle East and Eastern Europe.

The store, in addition to Cartier jewelery, offers the entire range of the Maison’s products, such as watches and leather goods, perfumes and sunglasses. Together with the red color that characterizes the brand, the light marble stands out. An Icon Bar in the center showcases the most iconic pieces and lines such as Clash De Cartier and Santos, which reinterpret the classic Cartier models.

We are delighted to open the largest Cartier boutique in the retail travel industry with our valued partner and operator ATÜ Duty Free at Istanbul Airport. At Cartier, we continually strive to build presence in Turkey and look forward to being part of all travelers’ trips to this major international airport.

Marco Bicego opens in Paris

A challenge in the home of the great French Maison: it is that of Marco Bicego, a Venetian brand of fine jewelry, but which has recently expanded its offer to include high jewelery. Now Bicego has opened a flagship store in Paris, at 179 Boulevard Saint Germain, the main street of the Latin Quarter, near the Lutetia hotel, one of the best known in the area. The store is part of a historic building, with brass elements that reflect the burin technique of the gold surface of the jewels, typical of the brand.

The setting takes up the concept of the brand’s other single-brand stores, with the brown of the plaster combined with the oak wood of the boiserie. Extra clear glass and brushed brass metal come together to create showcases and displays, and the natural tones of the environment further echo the characteristic palette of Marco Bicego.

This global showcase is a big step forward in our brand growth strategy. We wanted to create a refined and luxurious environment in which to offer local and international customers the experience of appreciating Made in Italy creativity and craftsmanship, accompanying them to discover the brand and collections. Digital gives us the unique opportunity to approach a very broad audience, but the physical experience with the product remains crucial, especially in our industry.

A showcase to Daniela De Marchi

/

Daniela De Marchi has a boutique in Milan, but also exports her jewels to France, Great Britain or Japan.

Milan, in addition to being an Italian city, is also a brand. It rhymes with design, fashion, style. For these hidden virtues Milan is famous all over the world. It is therefore not surprising that those who design jewels in this city find an international echo. But it is also not surprising that those who succeed abroad in Italy are less well known. Nemo profeta in patria, recite the latins sacred texts (no one is a prophet in his home), as testified by Daniela De Marchi. The designer is known and appreciated in Milan, where she has boutiques and ateliers, but is also distributed throughout the rest of Italy. In addition, her bijoux are also sold abroad, such as France, Great Britain and as far as Japan.

Daniela De Marchi dedicated herself to jewelery at the age of 23, after winning a scholarship at the Ied, the European Institute of Design. Today, her jewels, with the Ddm brand, are made mainly of silver and bronze, with the addition of natural stones, but also white or brown diamonds. The designer offers silver earrings, necklaces, rings and bracelets also with colored enamels. And brass is also presented in eight different colors: golden, copper, purple, red, silver, turquoise, ultramarine and midnight. One of the flagship collections, D by Diamonds adds small white diamonds to the simple bronze, which embellish the jewel.

The new Stroili flagship store in Milan

Stroili doubles a few meters away with the new flagship store in Milan. The new boutique, in fact, is located in Corso Vercelli 24, not far from number 30 (inside Coin) where there is another store inside the warehouse. But the accessible jewelry brand has come up with a completely different store. In fact, the customer experience was placed at the center rather than a simple exhibition of Stroili bijoux. What is it about? Simple: it is the feeling you get when you enter a shop to buy something. The purchasing process is an important moment for the marketing of distribution companies (in this case also production), since now the purchase in the store is confronted with the expectations of a customer who is increasingly used to online shopping.

The customer experience, adds Stroili, includes all aspects, from the product to packaging to storytelling. In short, making the customer feel comfortable and important is the starting point. The aesthetics of the new store, in the programs, reflect the sensitivity of the brand, with a modern and welcoming space, capable of enhancing services such as the personalization of jewelry or ear piercing. The concept of the new boutique in Milan was designed exclusively by the Italian studio Thirtyone Design + Management, a young multidisciplinary reality specialized in design, founded in 2015 by Claudia Campone.

We wanted to create an ideal place that reflected the soul and essence of the Maison and in which an intimate and feminine dialogue was created with our jewelery and fine jewelry collections. The architectural columns in gold are inspired by the petals of our flowers, a typical element in our iconic collections and at the same time create an atmosphere that recalls sacred places and places of worship. Gold gives strength and preciousness, red is passion and life, pink is feminine energy and love.

It’s almost an invitation to shopping, but it’s also one of the Maison’s most classic collections. Originally conceived in pink and white gold, with a touch of colorless diamonds, the collection has changed its face with the arrival of autumn. In fact, Casato has decided to focus on color and drip-cut stones. In short, it is always called Boutique but, in fact, the new jewelry line is not the simple continuation of the previous models.

The new jewels, in fact, use stones such as morganite, tanzanite, aquamarine, peridot, pink sapphire. The rings use different or equal stones, in the classic toi et moi shape and have a rose gold stem composed of small joined spheres. The collection also includes necklaces, earrings and bracelets.
