For Gismondi 1754 nine months of growth




The covid did not infect the business of Gismondi 1754, a Genoese jewelery company listed on the Italian Stock Exchange on the Aim list. The data relating to the first nine months, in fact, indicate results in contrast with the trends in the sector. As at 30 September, Gismondi 1754 shows, in fact, a growing turnover, consolidating its brand on the market. Consolidated revenues in the first nine months amounted to € 3.4 million, up + 7%, compared to the 3.2 recorded in the corresponding period in 2019. The third quarter of 2020, in particular, grew by 9% compared to to the third quarter of 2019. A result that the company attributes to the wholesales channel at European level, which recorded a growth of 239% for revenues equal to 83,304 euros, the S. Moritz store, which recorded + 141% of corresponding sales and special sales, a strong point and distinctive element of Gismondi 1754’s offer.

In a note, the company specifies that analyzing revenues by geographical area, as at 30 September 2020 the incidence on the consolidated management turnover is growing across the board with respect to all the markets in which Gismondi 1754 operates, with particular mention for the US market ( equal to 43% of turnover) and the Italian market (equal to 14% of revenues). The USA and Europe are confirmed as the areas that have the greatest impact on the Group’s turnover, but the Russian market and the Middle East are also gradually establishing themselves, both with an incidence of 7%. The rest of the countries are worth 10% of consolidated turnover overall.

The luxury market in the Middle East closer to the jewels of Gismondi 1754. The jewelery fairs seem to lead to a positive result for Gismondi: in VicenzaOro January the company received orders for 472,000 euros and nine new customers expressed strong interest in being able to have the brand in their stores. The new orders were received mainly from very representative multi-brand jewelery dealers located in different parts of the world. Overall, the Vicenza fair brought dowry agreements with seven new dealers in Montecarlo, three in Dubai, Bucharest, Tirana and Manama Bahrain. Neiman Marcus, the leading US luxury retailer, has defined, for the first time after three years of collaboration, an order already in delivery.

The Italian Stock Exchange has welcomed another jewelery house, the Genoese Gismondi 1754, which closed the first day of trading with a rise of over 1.5%. The company debuted on the Aim list, reserved for medium-small companies, which includes 132 companies. It is a good sign for the world of jewelry, which after the farewell to Damiani’s list was represented only by Fope, which was listed three years ago. The listing should serve the company especially to expand its distribution channels.

Here are the details of the transaction: during the placement the company raised 5 million euros. The free float at the time of admission is 38.5% and the capitalization is equal to 13 million. Gismondi was assisted by EnVent Capital Markets as nomad and global coordinator. Banca Akros, on the other hand, was the operation specialist.

The design, on the other hand, is by American Kathrine Baumann (who is a former Miss America), while the realization is by Aaron Shum Jewelry, the company that owns the Coronet brand.

The mini signatures by Chanel
